Here a volume costs $20 so just buying all 30+ volumes of Berserk and One Piece would cost me $1200+ And I'm not willing to buy a random single volume from the seires I want all of the volumes. So I just don't buy anything cause I don't have money, but when I become rich and famous then I'll buy it.

Hm, I'm probably going to buy some volumes of SDK for €7 each. It's not that expensive, but when you take into acount that it will cost you about €300 to complete the series, it is. Any steady worthwhile series will cost you at least a hundred bucks to complete. And since manga isn't my life, but a hobby of mine, that is too much.

In my country(Indonesia), one volume of manga cost 12,000 rupiahs. It equals to less than 2 US Dollar. biggrin
Even children can buy them with their pocket money.

Do you by any chance live in Bali?

By the way I forgot to mention that in Brasil the charpter are usualy broken in two, so in order to have a full charpter it is R$12-13. It is less than 12 dolars, but it weights in our pockets as if it were.

If I couldn't get manga cheap where I live I would consider building a death ray to zap you...

was just going to start bitchin' about how here in Estonia they don't even sell manga. but then i decided to use Google.ee for once, and what do you know! they do sell it here.
i'm not sure what or what the price is, but i'm so gonna check it out tomorrow. i already feel sorry for the money i've saved up until now. gotta start cutting down on alcohol and cigarettes and candy.
but chances of finding anything besides shonen or shojo is probably zero.

I agree, but I'm cheap in general. I never believed in buying books in the first place. That's what the library is for. I mean they let you check out 50 books at a time biggrin
Thankfully my library has started getting manga. biggrin However, I have everything on my comp that they have. I did buy some manga at the con I went to [13 volumes for 38 dollars] :3 So I think that brings my manga to like 16 XD But seriously I think 10 a pop is a bit much especially if you have a problem getting addicted to really long series [Hana Kimi, Bleach, Wallflower, Naruto, Mars Antolia Story, HYD ect.] That's crazy I can't imagine those people addicted to inuyasha @_@

oh by the way everyone, to all the US (well maybe international, not sure about their shipping policy) manga buyers, you should start a free membership at justmanga.com and start buying there. good prices, nice point reward system (all anime-related stuff, pvc figures, plushes, apparel, etc..), free shipping for any order over 40 bucks (pretty fast too, usually less than a week), large selection, plenty of promotions (just last week they were giving free rozen maiden gachapon figures for every order over 25$, this week, free ouran host keychains for any order), and after 3 orders, you can join the 555 club for free, where a buncha manga becomes only $5.55 for its members.

justmanga.com is the best!

I wouldn't mind buying the mangas I like, but to get the mangas in english I'd usually have to order from USA, and that costs a fortune sad I don't really want it in swedish (well, it's hard to get it in that anyway) Because the translation is horrible.. For example: "The village of hidden leaf" became "Hiding spot for leaves" in a very childish phrase (Sounds really childish in swedish imo)

To get just 7 volumes in english costs well over 100$.. No matter how much I love the manga, I just can't afford that -.- The shipping usually costs more than the manga itself, + probably a customs fee -.-

Just checked out www.justmanga.com. Did you know that when ordering a box set of all the Mars volumes rather just all of them separately (i mean, in one order still), you could almost save a DOLLAR? Are people cheap, or whatbiggrin
