Hi, I wish for people help as I am stuck as to what to read, and I really want to read something. The thing is I don't know what to look for. I don't have a particular genre or type I want, so I'm having trouble with the search engines. Oh, and it would be good to know why you like something, though it's not nessacery. Thankyou.

Ok, things I've liked are:
-Adventure type shounen, like Kekkaishi, Full Metal Alchemist and Soul Eater
-I liked Beauty Pop because Kiri is such an awesome character
-Hana Yori Dango because it surprised me how it turned out.
-Deadman Wonderland for the art and those horror sequences
-Karakuri Odette and Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume are different and I like the stories
-The World God Only Knows and [/m]Yankee-kun to Megane-chan[/m] because they are funny
-Comedy is good
-I like Romance, but even the small amounts in some shounen is fine.

Things I've found I dislike:
-Too much drama
-Annoying characters, especially when it's shojo. I like the girls to have a backbone. I hated the heroines in Orange Planet and Cherry Juice.
-Overly Cute
-I don't mind ecchi, smut, sex whatever as long as it dosn't override the story
-Stupid comedy that runs around in circles.
-I don't mind love rivival etc, but I don't like it when the partner is obvious because I always go for the underdog and that makes me sad.
-Shounen-ai, Shojo-ai

For series like Karakuri Odette and Beauty Pop, I'd suggest "strong emotionless icy heroines" type stories like Devil and Her Love Song, good stuff. 😉

Yeah, I liked that one too. I think I like those characters because they are not prone to bursting into tears. Crying is ok at the right times but it becomes annoying when it is every second page 😢

Here are some general suggestions of stuff I like. Maybe you'll find at least one interesting. All are action/adventure shounen/seinen titles. I think they meet your requirements, though they might be too ecchi or have to much drama, I really don't know.

Hmmm...Bleach, Tenjou Tenge, and Air Gear are all shounen/seinen action, with lots of comedy, that you might enjoy. If you like Hana Yori Dango, you might like Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, Akuma de Sourou, or Gokinjo Monogatari. Nanako Robin is a pretty new series that you might also like. Maybe these will help? 🙂
