So I guess you're meaning that the study showed that this is the reason why men can be attracted to other men?

No, you can't show that. The study showed that most gay males (74% of the subjects) had a female type of brain (ratios in the cell population of the cerebelum, size of the chambers etc...). Now to say that it was because of that that they were attracted to men, you need other experiments, like feminising a male brain and verify his sexual behavior etc... which is hard to do and not very ethic. The study was an epidemiologic study which like all epidemiologic study can only gives clues and not proof.

Several of my close friends are homosexuals or bisexuals. I didn't really pay any attention to it, It's none of my buisness what they're doing as long as it's not against me. I use the word gay as an insult against the ones that are so obvious gay and are bouncing around in their skimpy clothes with a big smile.. It just creeps me out. dead They're no longer just keeping it to themselves, it's like they're trying to be annoying no
Even my gay friends hates those none

Keep your personal stuff to yourself.. I'd get annoyed even if someone straight would do such things.

There are several gay celebrities that goes out on the TV with stuff like "I'm gay and not afraid to say it! biggrin " I'd just want to punch them in their face and tell them: "Shut up, you are not special in any way just because you're gay. Stop acting like you are." mad

Some may call me homophobic, but I'm not really. I just think your personal things are to be just that. Your personal things.

I don't think these celebrities do that just to show off. I think that they are out of the closet to help the one who are afraid to say it. They think (rightfully, if you ask me) that nobody should be ashamed of being different.

A lot of them took time before their outting. They were already recognised for their talent before anything else : Degeneres, Bjork, Sinead O'Connor, Georges Michael, Elton John, Ricky Martin etc...

Tell me if you know any who wants a different treatment because they're gay. Nobody comes to my mind, but I am not into celebrities so it's not that odd.

I got a cousin thats gay and he's cool as hell. He's a big gamer. I don't have anything against gay people, and don't mind being friends with them, i just ask they don't try to hit on me or something like that. Then we got a problem.

well, about that, once i found out that a gay friend of mine was picked on, so i gave him a lecture about self protection (while preparing to go to battle, and picking up an iron bar...)
and in the end it came to:
me: "look, if your not gonna protect yourself, I will!"
friend: "oh no you wont, that will make things worst!"
me: " none ... dont care. if theyll be scared enough from me, they wont move an inch."
friend: "okay, lets just calm down here, k'? i have my own way to deal with them if they pick on me."
me:"and whats that?"
friend: "i hit on them biggrin "
me:"... none "

so it can also be this...

The way I see it, the world has an overpopulation problem.
So, if you want to be gay (not much of a choice in matter)
go on ahead, its doing humanity a service.

Honestly, even if some people don't like gays, what does it
matter? Gays have their own communities and society, trough
media and other means seems more accepting than ever before.

I don't see any problem here... People are free to to believe what-
ever the hell they want to and no one will be able to change that.

So even if there is groups who are homophobic, its not that big a deal.
There's hardly any gays who give a shit what anyone says anyway so you don't need to reassure anyone trough this thread...

Edit: This whole poll is pretty stupid as well, because there is no "I'm fine with it" or "It doesn't matter to me" option. What should straight people be offended for, when anyone calls gays something derogatory? Some do, but a lot do not... This is like a white or black person getting seriously offended when walking around a mall and hearing phases like "Asian Invasion", "Damn Chinese" , etc...

I do not condone (agree with) people being homosexual, but I still know people who are. If someone likes different games, TV shows, or politicians, it doesn't change whether or not I can be friends with them. But, I still think they are doing something wrong.

Haha, I love being right (as I mostly am ... well so I hope anyway) !!!
This is exactly what I was talking about people, EVERYONE is entitled to their own opinions and no one can change that.

And so, WHY isn't there an option suitable for kikaru in the poll?
Because this poll is retarded and biased.

The option "indifferent because other peoples opinions are meaningless" is not good enough because he isn't just indifferent because "peoples opinions are meaningless" (which isn't a correct statement anyway), but plainly because he "does not condone homosexuality".

hmm, being gay is being gay and being straight is being straight (or bi or whatever). Not many people go around flaunting the fact that their straight, and when you talk about people you don't say: oh by the way he's straight. I've noticed that when someone's gay that almost always comes up, people always make it an issue that the someone is gay, but not even in a negative way, the just remark upon the fact that their gay. Meh. Another thing, I find it pretty funny that some people are like, "I'm okay with gay people as long as they don't hit on me." Just cause their gay doesn't mean their gonna hit on you and everyone else. I mean straight people (not all) don't go around hitting on all people of the opposite sex right? So er, when your afraid of being hit on, don't. Don't flatter yourself yea?

i think its bcuz in our time, the deafult is still straight. if you wont say otherwise, ppl will assume ur straight. in my opinion, thats gonna change in the next decades, and when ppl present themselves, it will come up. look at the websited of today- thers an orientation question.
