EDIT: PLEASE READ THE IMPORTANT EDIT AT THE BOTTOM
Ugh! I am so sick of the main character not ending up with the guy I want her to end up with.
So. I recently read Parfait Tic. And there's this character in the manga that you would be stupid not to choose (his name is Ichi). I'm wondering if there is a character out there who has similar characteristics as Ichi.
So. Absolutely no dark spiky hair, please.
Ichi:
~ comes off as really mean, and cruel and stuff, especially to the protagonist
~ does weird things to help her out though (like forcing her to talk to the guy she likes, or drawing the attention away from her when she's nervous or something).
~ is really smart
~ is a little socially awkward, but he doesn't really care and thinks he's great anyway
~ gets annoyed easily
~ DOES NOT HAVE BLACK SPIKY HAIR
~ can't cook or clean to save his life
~ doesn't have glasses (I hate manga characters with glasses)
~ is super popular and knows it, but even though he acts full of himself, it doesn't really matter to him
~ doesn't get along well with most other people
It's important that he's mean, annoyed, popular, and doesn't care about other people (in general). He also has to be a little awkward, though (blunt, by the way, qualifies as awkward, in that he says things that normal polite people wouldn't say). And I'd rather have him fall in love first.
Edit: So to refer to a probably more well-known character, someone like Zero from Vampire Knight AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MANGA fits exactly. So does Len Tsukimori from La Corda d'Oro (actually Len probably fits better).
IMPORTANT EDIT:
Ok, while I still want someone like the described person above, now I'll settle for any manga that has a love triangle, but the guy she ends up with only has to have a couple of the above characteristics (by that, however, I mean personality characteristics - I still don''t want dark haired guys or glasses).
Thanks.

Ummm... I don't think I can offer you all of those qualifications, but I'm gonna try!!
Fruits Basket's Kyou kinda works... he's socially awkward, constantly yelled at the girl he likes (in the beginning), pretty popular (I mean, he's from the Sohma household for goodness sake)!! <3 Kyou!! He's one of those... bad-boy, but acts sweet for his girl type of guys... *squeeee~ But he doesn't act full of himself to the student body (just to Yuki... kekekekekeke...)
There's the male lead from Kingyo Sou who's socially awkward, easily annoyed, etc etc (but there's a reason for his social withdrawal)...
Zero from Vampire Knight?? The beginning of the manga, in my opinion, was great. ><||
Abe-sensei from Help!!?? He doesn't have spiky hair (though, it is black/dark)... but he sure is mean and easily agitated... He's a professional... so not really socially awkward... just cold...
This man (middle of the page) from Atsu Atsu Trattoria? Black hair... but is his hair considered spiky? o_o
Maybe Naru from Ghost Hunt? He's a genius... and so full of himself... I dunno about being socially awkward... more like... a cold professional...
T_T I hope I offered at least something... I'll add more if I can remember what I read (and look over my lists hardcore). Good luck!

Wow, thank you for going to all the effort!
I've read Fruits Basket, and Yuki is actually closer to what I want than Kyo (especially towards the end when he starts to get meaner). I'm not really looking for a bad boy type, and Kyo's just too genuine anyway. Thanks though.
Never read Kingyo Sou, but I'll check it out.
I've read Vampire Knight, and Zero (at least in the beginning of the manga) is pretty much what I want. I'd completely forgotten about him, so thanks!
Never read Help!!, but I'm not really into student-teacher relationships, so . . .
I'll check out Atsu Atsu Trattoria. His hair is not spiky. But he doesn't seem like he gets mean or annoyed a lot (lol not that I'd know - I've only read a couple pages . . .)
Ghost Hunt was actually already on my wish list, so I'll take a look at it. Genius is good, and so is full of himself. Those are two of the more important traits to me.
Once again, thanks for the suggestions so far, but if anyone can think of anymore, they are greatly appreciated (sorry, this post is kind of . . . specific).

smart, light hair, heir of a hospital, no glasses, easily annoyed, not very social. has a twin brother who would be the usual guy who ends up with the shoujo lead, but he doesn´t!
ayashi no ceres
Spoiler (highlight to view)
ignore the black haired guy, he get´s rejected. the winner is a guy who is popular with women, has a mysterious past, is really strong, is the girls enemy for quite a while, smart

These both look really great, especially Peter Pan Syndrome. Thanks so much!
Any other suggestions?

Perhaps Natsume from Gakuen Alice? He has dark hair, but it's not spiked upwards. And he's a kid (but that's one of the series' charms).

I've read Gakuen Alice, and I guess Natsume might work, only he's got that whole bad boy thing going on, and I'm really not looking for that. Thanks, though.

ryouki from hot gimmick fits your description to the T, but you don't want guys with glasses. seems you want smart a-holes, and that's exactly ryouki.
(though i wouldn't personally recommend the manga in the first place since i hate the female protagonist to death)
second naru from ghost hunt. lol. LOVE naru forever.
umm...rin from please save my earth sort of fits. excellenntttt sci-fi manga. hopefully you wont mind the weird age gap.
and if you don't mind weird age gaps, fuuma from dear mine also kinda fits. WHAT IS IT WITH SHOUJO MANGA AND THEIR CUTE TSUNDERE SHOUTAS. D:

I will consider Len Tsukimori from Kiniro no Corda
Bijo ga Yajuu: the male lead doesn't really care about people but he's not that mean
Diva (ONO Hiromu): the guy was really mean at first... they were rivals.
Omake no Kobayashi-kun : he's quite popular but not what you consider as mr. oh-so-popular, doesn't really care about others. A bit mean to the female lead just because she's stubborn and being rude to him. And smart too (he defeated the female lead in math tests)
there's a couple that I have in mind although the guy is not necessarily mean or doesn't care about other people

@ cliff:
If the light haired guy (Len) from Kiniro no Corda gets the girl, I will love you and this manga forever. Thanks - it looks really good (even if Len doesn't get the girl, I promise not to cry)

K, I finished La Corda D'oro and I LOVED it. Len was exactly the kind of guy I was looking for. Any more like him?

I loved Kouichi from Cat street...
He sorta fit your description but he wasn't a super popular guy and he had black hair, though it wasn't spiky.

I think the protagonist from Rockin' Heaven fits your description.

@ ForteAtrox:
Thanks for your suggestion, but I'm in a strictly light-haired guy mood right now.
@ chineserider:
I'll check this manga out. thank you.
Please, anymore suggestions you have, don't hesitate to share.

chiaki from Nodame Cantabile fits in some points, in others not at all, like he can cook and clean.
But he is popular and smart, rich , gets annoyed pretty easily. I like him a lot xD
but his hair is dark, i remembered wrong the color of his hair XD.
Oh oh maybe the guy from Arakure ??
Boku no Hatsukoi o Kimi ni Sasagu
Crimson Hero
Koibana! - Koiseyo Hanabi ??
NG Life
Ouran High School Host Club lol
Venus Capriccio
Kamisama Onegai! (MITSUKI Kako)
