Most of those are not very like Gokusen, but you could give them a try:
Green Boy: Shouting to you
Girls of the Wild's
Zero In - though the guy never gets very strong
Zippy Ziggy -slightly similar to Kenichi
very different, but:
Kiba no Tabishounin - The Arms Peddler
The Legend of Maian
Yankee Figure - could use better translation though

Let's see - The following mangas may not exactly be a match to your description, but how about Oresama Teacher, Yanki-kun to Megane-chan, Tenjou Tenge, Otokomae! Beads Kurabu, Meguraian no Kimi or Five?

The female main character of the latter gets pretty strong, when she gets coffee to drink, so that she is even better at fighting as most of the guys around her. And, the female counterpart in YktMc is actually also a delinquent and much stronger than the people around her would imagine, because she tries (usually not that sucessful) to be a "nice" girl.
