Hi everyone,

I am looking for something that has the characters that romantically involved but it does not completely center around that. No shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, yuri, or yoai please.

Hey mantoki, does the romance between the couple seem to get anywhere? or does it seem like an endless stream of coincidences and situations?

Amaranthine,
I've been reading Samurai Usagi thanks though...but there really isn't romance or a decent plot to it really at all (at least not yet).

So, romance but not romance centered? òÖ

Hotman - more slice of life though.
Bara no tameni
Blood alone

Examples would help us to help you too òÖ

yeah essentially that tsuto but it can have also have romance as a center, for example Ichigo 100% wouldn't work, neither would marmalade boy something likekatsu! or skip beat; has romance but it doesn't spend whole time divulging into it in other words has another goal/objective besides hooking up the two protagonists. Sort in between is what I am looking for, not too focus on romance but not too "comedic" about it either.

Ok, I'll try suggest something, the only thing I wanna know it's if you'are looking for a more shoujoish/shounenish/seinenish serie. I hope it doesn' matter because you suggested something Katsu and Skip Beat that are two different genres.

Anyway for now in order of "fitting"

Eternal Sabbath (seinen, probably what you're looking for if the genre is ok with you)
GTO (shounen, same as above)
Kodomo no Omocha (shoujo, not so much romance centered, but not totally not related)
D-Ash (seinen, sport manga, not only much romance, but it has an importance)
Fruits Basket (shoujo, romance gets more importance in the second half, anyway there is a lot of other stuff around).
Shin Angyo Onshi (seinen, very little romance, only in the middle/later).
Akuma Jiten (shounen, sort of Ichigo 100% story, it's funny and not so romance centered as Ichigo)
Mx0 (same as above)
Chrno Crusade (shounen, typical adventure story, little romance on the background)
DearS (shounen, fair story other than romance)
Penguin Brothers (shoujo, typical triangle relationship on the background of the story)

That's all for now ^^

No reid i did that purposely b/c I don't mind shounen, shojo, seinen, josei...All I really care about is that it is good. Thanks for the list, I've read GTO Fruits Basket, Shin Angyo Onshi, Akuma Jiten, Mx0, Chrno Crusade, DearS all them really good, liked GTO the best though. I'll try the ones that I haven't read. Thanks everyone.

No problem. Then I can really suggest you Kodocha as shoujo and Eternal Sabbath as seinen. Yep, GTO really good manga.

Hmm.. i don't know whether it is your cup of tea or not but you should try it first i guess. I recommend:

Remote - It is a detective manga, so it basically center around murder investigation and everything with a splash of romance here and there 😛

Detective Academy Q - Same as the above

Sanctuary - It's an oldies manga under the seinen genre. It's about the struggle of two best friends, one a yakuza boss while the other a rising politician. Although, it falls under the romance genre, most of the time, the plot focused on their struggle to change the society rather than their love affairs. It's a classic this one 😀

No, more than dark, I'd say it's deep. It's a psychological story.

My avatar is Odin from the FFIX game.
