Are there any manga about World War II? The only ones I'm aware of are Barefoot Gen and the anime Grave of the Fireflies.

I know there are quite a few but I haven't read any (that weren't wildly inaccurate at least).

The funny thing is I was searching for mangas about World War II two days ago... The ones listed are the ones I liked because of the overall appearance and details.
Maybe you can try Yunagi no Machi Sakura no Kuni? Post-war, but you could try reading it, since it deals with the effect of war on people's lives.
Could also try Love Letter (SEO Kouji), Mademoiselle Butterfly, Souin Gyokusai seyo! , Suiiki, Adolf ni Tsugu, El Alamein no Shinden, Good-bye (TATSUMI Yoshihiro), Horobishi Kemonotachi no Umi, Kutsuzure Sensen - Majo Vasenka no Sensou, Who Fighter with Heart of Darkness and Apollo no Uta, all of them have different genres, since I don't know which one you are searching for.
Also, there is always Hetalia...

Thanks for the recommendations. I liked Yunagi no Machi Sakura no Kuni a lot. Natsu no Arashi was too silly. I guess I'm looking for something realistic and more serious.
