Did anyone forgot bleach and naruto..

no... I think the idea itself was original but now its just overrated that's why many are starting to disklike it.

most cliched? I agree with bimbo... well maybe not all but most! and a good majority of them too. That's why I don't like shoujou too much D:

Shojo isn't bad, even for a guy. My personal favorites would include Ouran high school host club and yamato nadeshiko shichi henge, the main thing is these aren't all about romance, which is great if done right, but usually shojo romances are extremely cliched.

lol. I have to agree with everyone about most shoujos. If you broke each story down to it's basic plot then they'd all basically fit the same bill. There are exceptions of course (ouran host club and perfect girl evolution!, like the person before me said, ). laugh

All shoujo mangas!!

See Kaori mangas they are shoujo and really good. And if shoujo is cliche shounen too. This is not like one genre is cliche all the genres have cliche mangas.

Samurai Deeper Kyo has my vote. Not so much the story, but the characters (especially the villains).

honestly. most shounen romances, shounen action, and shoujo series are pretty cliche'd plot wise. seinen in general seems to be the most original. however, many of those cliche'd series are still fantastic

i gotta agree with Kare first love!!
Its the best example of cliche. The great, nice guy with the inexperienced girl and of course a dark past, and dont forget the bad girl who wants to destroy the relationship, bla bla bla
Well, 90% of shoujo r like that!!!

And also most of the shounen, with the hero (who is really strong or really weak) and the bad guy (who is weak usually)

Well, there still r good and intersting manga (FORTUNATELY) hehe biggrin

99% of comedy+ecchi+harem manga are carbon copies. Negima in particular. Hana yori dango, kare kano and the rest of the that genre are pretty similar as well.

This. Haven't read one that was different from the others (Same unlucky everydude has a shy girl, bitch girl, sporty/outgoing girl, and loli/sister wanting him, they travel to exotic places, unlucky everydude does something for one of the girls at the exotic place that would change their opinion of the everydude for the better, but the girl forgets all about it when they get back to their town, unlucky everydude has a "love rival" try to take the girl he wants he most, etc.). Name me one that doesn't have at least 3 of these and I'll read it.

But they're not the most cliched manga I've ever read. Oh no, that special no-prize goes to Maken-ki.

Negima is only in the beginning a harem Ecchi cliche. The chapter wich come out now are way more Action cliche and less harem(becuse its still a Girl school) but that dont mean its completly gone. Negima has changed much since the beginning but honestly its only switched cliche main part from harem to Action the only thing thats havnt realy changed was the ecchiness.
But thats only my opinion.
