The sweets shop owner Tanihara goes to for love advice with a stern, scary looking pediatrician. Though the doctor has one serious looking face but deep within he's a gentle soul. Not to mention he isn't afraid of showing his love or the fact that he's gay.
The game of "trick-or-love" between the happy-go-lucky father and the scary but popular pediatrician! Normally the paths of a shrewd man and a stoic man would never cross...

I don't always comment on a series, but when I do, it's a must-read or a waste-of-precious-lifetime.
after reading chap.2: nowadays, it's hard to find an original story after having read tons of yaoi, but this is one of those rare gems. The sad thing about it:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
A straight man, (fully conscious and sober!) has CONSENSUAL sex with a gay man, and enjoys it... with a SMILE on his face (that's actually a first for me)
while it sounds rather boring in itself, Sakuragi Yaya made it d*mn hot. the fact that scenes like this are rare, is really a shame...
The characters are very unique, not the stereotypes you're used to (perfect, cool seme + shallow girly uke), but perfectly believable persons with funny and surprising quirks. Who knew Tanihara was suited to have an own BL story? I didn't...
I would have given a 10, but it's not perfect. need to deduct some points because 1. art is very nice, but the foreheads are too small for my taste 2. even though the story is interesting, the final outcome is still predictable (If the cliche happens, Tanihara will think at first that any man is fine for a physical relationship, but then realises, that it has to be sensei. I'll have to deduct more points then, we'll see...)
Best work ever yet (not an overstatement)
Sakuragi Yaya's best work ever yet. I am really impressed and happy with regards to her improvement.
This is a breath of fresh air from the typical yaoi plot line and characters.
Gay Seme who is super Majime (solemn / serious) and isn't chasing and raping the Uke. Straight Uke who's totally alright with sex and is to the point even flirting a little with the Seme.
Interesting characterization straight off the bat.
What really catches my attention is how the characters develop and you get to see more and more of their personality unfold as the story goes along. This perfect pacing and progression is rare in Yaoi. Yes really.
A must read if one is interested in good pacing and characterization. Oh, and there's also funny (like real funny) moments in there, that got me to laugh out loud.
*Did I mention I purchased the Japanese Manga? That's how good it is!

I was drawn in by the story. Its novelty surprised me as much as Tanihara was surprised by Takafumi's personality and behavior. Neither character followed the usual script. Tanihara wasn't just a curious straight man falling for the good looks of another man. And Takafumi wasn't the typical Seme focused solely on capturing the heart and body of his romantic interest. Both characters have flaws and unexpected responses to the situations they find themselves in.
It's predictable that they'll have their happily ever after but the journey there is quite original and interesting. Definitely a manga to read!
I LOVE it! I loved the "prequel" Yume Musubi, Koi Musubi and if you want to do it right, make sure to read that as well to get to know this manga's main character "Shuu-chan" a little bit better. YMKM was great but oh man, it does not even come close to how good Himegoto Asobi is! I loved Shuu in YMKM - he was a very fun and lovable side character and he definitely stirred up the desire to get to know him better as well! Straight man, single father, incredibly easy going with a real sense of humor... he is an interesting character from head to toe! In Himegoto Asobi, he meet the very stoic and stuck-up doctor Takafumi who always looks serious, speaks very politely and scared away all his little child patients. The two of them are such a great couple! It seriously does not get much better than this! If you are tired of the typical seme and uke stereotypes then READ THIS! If you want a strong, manly, straight uke who goes and tries gay sex out of simple curiosity and loves it - READ THIS! If you like semes who are polite, manly, honorable and caring, all while knowing what they want and not being pushovers, you should also read this! And let's not forget all the sweet and great moments that come from Shuu-chan being originally straight and not wanting to fall in love easily, and him being a father who single-handily raises a little girl, and Takafumi having made only bad experiences with love...
This is a must read, and I don't understand how anyone would not like it! It has great art, amazing characters, a great little plot, laugh-out-loud funny moments and heartache that you can actually feel while reading! It has everything! READ IT!
So perfect. I love the role of the characters in this story. They are very different which makes it so much more charming because they bring in new perspectives for each other. You actually like the conversations between them because it feels so real and mature....as if they are really falling for each other. So far it has been smooth sailing with each chapter getting better and I am hoping for more!

A Little Loose
Oh this was hilarious. I keep recommending it to my friends who are REALLY tired of the same old ineffectual seme and wimpy uke. I love this manga to death and would love to see how it will play out.
You know the trope that all yaoi manga is rape? Yeah, it doesn't apply here. These are two sober consensual adults having sex. No dubious consent. No tears. A rarity in and of itself and that just makes me love it more.
The dialog is hilarious especially concerning Tanihara. His attempts to get a rise out of everyone makes me smile and sometimes outright giggle. The doctor is even better since he is such a straight man it comes off as deadpan snarker but usually he's just missing the joke.
The only gripe I have is the art. The noses make the faces too long and there isn't much range of expression for any of the characters. Furthermore, Tanihara's daughter doesn't look like a little girl, just an embodiment of a chibi. Not good. But I can forgive it for the plot and the great characterization.
This is the first time in a long time I've been genuinely interested in a yaoi manga based on the plot. The artwork is so gorgeous, the characters are lovable... I'm dying to know what happens next! I'm actually considering purchasing this once it's available in English. Definitely worth a read.
Wow, this is great! Though, she isn't my favorite, Sakuragi is always worth reading... unlike the majority, her stories always have such a nice balance of masculinity between the characters, and girl characters actually play more roles than being completely non-existent, nuances or villains! She always finds such great ways to mix it up. However, in many cases, I find something lacking from her stories, I can admire them from afar, but they never really engage me. This is the first time I've been so excited about a story from her, I think she's found the perfect balance with this one! Let's see how it goes...
Not a common yaoi plot. Great!
It's really worth reading! I've read plenty of yaoi recently until I got fed up, and try to read a new theme of manga. But when I found this one, it was incited me to read yaoi again Two Thumbs Up!!
Can't wait for more
Sakuragi is definitely on my top 5 favourite mangaka list. There hasn't been a story from her that i did not like. This manga got me pretty excited from the first page! I can't wait to read more.
