Genre shift is badly paced; interesting ideas but poor executions

TBA for longer, more comprehensive review where I'll expand it later.
Tentative short review:
Author here has the same problem as "Mookhyang Dark Lady" where they have too many ideas but the way they weave it into the story and pacing isn't the most seamless. So far the only series that I see does this well is Hunter X Hunter.
Character progression on scene is also jarring at times.
The beginning starts strong with a consistent vibes but it quickly shifts into something else: SoL comedy feat. mystery -> drama/psychological -> suspense/drama/conspiracy

Interesting main character

Not your everyday main character, he wouldnt hesitate to sacrifice his friends for his own gain, and would be very competitive to defeat his enemy. He is intelligent and calculative yet strongheaded and childish sometimes.
And with a character like that, it is very interesting to see him fall in love with someone out of his reach. He could wage war to attain the one he loves. And sadly, since it is a shonen story, it doesn't show many (if any) of the romance.

My first impression of this series is good, The art is good, the story is ok and I love the characters. I read few first volumes, but never really put much interest on it at first. Then after a while, I decided to pick it again around volume 27. My impression on the art hasn't change. The story is still good, obviously there are things I don't really understand, which is fine considering my long time absence on reading it, the only problem I have is with the pace, it feels a bit slow for a fantasy story.
For a shonen this is a quite good read. It has some good ideas around the virtual gaming world and interesting story line too.

Started out good, was entertaining for the first 2 arc but then the decline started and players started to Bend Laws hack wack and totally destroyed whatever Universal laws the game has
It's become so Convulated that half the time you will be scratching your head as to what is happening and the other half is soo random that you just won't care
MEH don't waste your time on this one

after reading this manhwa, as a big fan of online gaming, i wish there will be an MMORPG game in the near future that will be created by adapting from this manhwa... while reading the manhwa, even though sometimes i find my self getting bored by the plot, i always think that the concept of Lost Saga game (such as the players are allowed to master more than one job and developing their skills with their own brain) in the story is really something desired...
faulty good manhwa

for a game that supposedly replicate reality perfectly, Lost Saga and it's evolution is shallow
first of all, after 33 volumes of translated part, Lost Saga only ever show 1 city
I don't know whether the game really only has 1 city (what kind of MMORPG is this) or the author just simply don't bother mention any other (i think this is the case). The same with all the dungeons, hardly ever mentioned before (except land of dragons) and only mentioned when they already arrived on the spot.
The Lost Saga universe seems so empty, there were never any clarity about how wide the game world is, skill tree, game functions and limitations. All the information only shown when it's convenient for the plot. Dungeons and skills are seems to be pulled from someone's ass.
world settings aside, the best thing of this manga is the characters, all of them are alive and unique. There are so many recurring characters in Yureka, but they all leave deep impression and one can hardly ever forget them.
the plot is also quite interesting and the continuity is amazing. it's just very unfortunate that it's not perfected by a good world settings.... it has the potential to be the best online game related manhwa, but it failed to achieve that. Still, this is a good read.

Started out decent and was even funny at times, by the time I got to volume 25ish I lost all interest in this series, tried continue reading in the hope it got some of its original vigour back, but alas even 4 volumes later nu such luck.
Pretty much all the characters became very tiresome and the antagonists are uninteresting, annoying, and make no sense. Every last bit of humour has left this series and there is no solid story to make up for it.
This manhwa is definitely suffering from a heave case of cerebus syndrome.
Will not rate it because I enjoyed about half of what I've read, and disliked the other half very much.

love the series it takes a few ch to get into though but afterwards u will fall in love with Yureka's naivety its just to funny combined with our Evil sadistic Main char Lotto. After you finish the first arc i reccomend to continue onwards. Everything in perspective will come together concerning Yureka. It truly becomes a conspiracy /love triangle anyways cant wait for next chapter!!

I was interested at first. But it becomes too apparent after a few volumes that the author refuses to do interesting things with the story. There could be a lot of entertaining things done with the RL aspect of the story, but that is largely ignored. Too many characters and plot elements are introduced when there could be more character development and interactions with existing characters and plot elements. The fighting is mostly boring.

I don't really want to talk about how "hackers" are portrayed in fiction, and it's best if you ignore those parts too.
The series is overall a solid shounen series and I was drawn into it because the protagonist was said to be a selfish and calculating one. He didn't turn out to be the heroic uncaring sociopath like I'd expected (while he wasn't a crybaby either), but the quick pace, nicely-done fights and the ever-increasing level of absurdity (in a really good way) just keep pulling me back to the series. That's always been a strong point of fighting manga, and this series probably nailed it.
Judging from the last chapter I read, it looks like there's still a lot to come. I was literally glued to my seat for the latter half of the first arc, and if the author can pull that off again, I'm all for more.
