Well, I read it up to 7th chapter and I find this very disturbing.
Tortments, violence, cutings... I expected heroine to gradually grow,
become strong so that she can overcome it, but according
to the comments below it won't happen. Too sad..
I don't want to constantly shiver when looking at cuttings
and suffer as heroine suffers being bullied.

I'm guessing you haven't read any recent chapters? She becomes a fraeking bad a**. Ho** Sh**. It's so strong and powerful. The main character is likeable. She's realistic seeing how she tries her hardest not to be hated. The antagonist (Manami) Is easy to dislike. She's manipulative, sadistic, and envious.
Anyways, you will cry almost every chapter.
It's a good read if you like to have your heart strings pulled.

OKay, so this manga scares me alot. The characters are creepier than horror mangas that I read. I mean like all of them are messed up and it just creeped me out relaly bad.
Over all.
Amazing story, plot, characters, more horrifying than any horror movie I ever watched. The horrors of human nature.

When i first reading, i like it... after 8 volumes, i think this story is really screw up.
the plot get boring, and every single char is screw up except Hattori.
The main protagonist gets weepy a lot.. i think what she need is brain. Cause she's tactless.
and twenty volumes are too much...
but i'll continue reading it anyway, i love to see a screw up character.

As one who has experienced bullying first-hand and dealt with it the easiest and quickest way possible, I can agree with the opinion that indeed the main character is weak. She is weak for not speaking out, she is weak for caring what other's think. (Leaves a lot of room for character development though)
I am a lot like the Hatori character, so it's tougher for me to sympathize, but I do understand Ayumu's pain. Cutting, however, is not a sign of weakness. It is a stress release; a mania.
As for the circumstances the main character finds herself in, I cannot refute their realism, but the fact that they coincidentally happen to her a lot is unrealistic. But it's a fictional story, what do you honestly expect? I mean look at some of the minor characters...completely deranged. How often do these people clump together? Almost never. This manga never ceases to be melodramatic to the point of hilarity.
It's not a great manga, the story isn't anything spectacular or moving. But it's not horrid like "Koizora". In fact, I do find that the author is very capable at enticing the reader to feel emotion for the character in SOME parts, so I do give praise for that.
Overall, a 6/10.

I think it is unfair to say that the main character is weak. Honestly I would keep it quiet in her position too, I know from experience the one time I complained about bullying it only made matters worse rather then helped. To be singled out against everyone in your class is difficult and these kinds of things are difficult to talk about. I agree some parts are unrealistic, but to me up until the hospital part is sounded like something you would hear of in school.
Aside from the bad guys in the story, I find the characters realistic and its something everyone should read in my opinion. It has its happy moments but for the most part it is a heart breaking story, its already started showing how karma is a bitch though and slowly in the story what goes around is coming back around.

So I'm up to volume three and I felt the need to comment. Mostly because of the comments about Ayumu being weak. Not everyone can be strong is the thing. Her best friend deserts her, turning out to be a pretty crappy friend to begin with and she finds a terrible way to deal with that pain. With regards to her actually telling someone about the pictures and the guy. Put yourself in her position, she's deeply afraid of being hated, and she's deeply ashamed of her cutting. It isn't always easy to win against the irrational side of your brain. I'm finding this manga is a very good look into the issues of self-esteem and confidence, and I'm really hoping she's able to find someone who can help her find those but the tragedy tag as me worried there might not be a happy ending here...

It is reasonably correct. If you have ever been severely bullied you're definately not going to have the self esteem to tell others about it.
People that think Ayumu was dumb or stupid for cutting and such are the exact same as Manami and were that girl/still are that girl in school.
This manga will speak to some people, to others they will think badly.

I don't know why you guys call Ayumu weak, cause she isn't.
Yes she is being bullyied, but she doesn't give in. She fights back, laughs and makes fun with her friends. She doesn't give up and that is what makes her strong.
And not telling about what that boy did to her, most of us will do that.
Telling she had it coming, that's just...........
Do you find it strange she doesn't tell anyone about the bullying?
About the teaghers, they are not blind, they just pretend they are. They don't want to deal with the problem, so they pretend there isn't one.

The bullying happening to Ayumu is completely unrealistic. The reason why no one believes her is because she doesn't tell anyone. If she had told her mom about "that guy" who took all those "pictures", he could've ended up in jail. I mean, he even sent her "the picture", which is evidence enough.
I'm going to skip to the last volume in hopes that things would get better for her soon. But I'm beginning to think she deserves it for being so stupid. Tell someone. Duh! Are the teachers blind?
