2 main sides

There are always three of readers, those that like it, those that don't, and those that feel neutral about it. However, I will only be talking about the two extreme sides as they are almost seemingly disregarding the others comments. I believe you should take into account both sides of the story and I'm saying this because there are those comments that are basically saying oh f the haters or comments like those nice reviews are all wrong, etc. My opinion is that I don't really like the manga (but still you should remember that my comment isn't the only comment) because I don't find the female lead likable and it's too long and boring too me. It's just like every other shoujo I've read, with a little more character development happening (which I hardly care about because I hate the female lead). Not to mention that I don't like that male lead too. All in all though, it did bring me some entertainment and the author must;ve put a lot of work in this so I'd never even consider giving this a 1. Anyways, you should try it yourself and see if you like it or not.

Great

I started reading the manga because I caught the anime and I fell for Mei when she gave the guy a roundhouse kick. Gotta love a girl with sass! Yamato is a great hero, too, because he's really sweet and caring, but you also have to love his cooler than shoujo style. The story itself is very cute, but I feel like it rushes through stuff too much and takes its slow ass time with stupid stuff. Mei has such a complex about not having friends for 16 years, yet she instantly tries to make friends after she meets Yamato. Not even a little hesitation? Things like that make the manga kind of annoying. It's the details, people! I do like the plot a lot. It's different from the mangaka's other works that tend to dive straight into sex. This one takes a more innocent approach and while sex is in the work, it isn't everywhere and everything that makes the plot move. No, this is a more innocent plot that definitely fits the shoujo niche well.

I'm literally only reading this because of Yamato

That is literally it. I don't know why he's so attractive but he is super cute. Otherwise this is a typical shoujo manga where a popular boy falls for an unpopular girl. I think it's his hair; you don't see that style in shoujo often. Also it can be really damn boring when it's only focused on the heroine, since she doesn't have much to say.

There is character development. GASP!!! Mei is a really lovable character, I enjoyed following her grow as a person. its a nice series I don't think you should feel turn off from reading the other reviews.
I understand why some people say that they find the series gets really tedious as they continue, but that is mostly true if you have been sticking with the series for a while. I read volume 1 to 8 in one go, I felt that it was really cute. Currently there are 10 -11 volumes available should you feel to annoyed with the support character stories then skip them.

When I started reading this manga I thought it was going to be like every other love story but I was wrong. It did get how love really is in real life which is what I love about it. You could relate to these characters and at times remember how it was to be in your first relationship.

the end

Today, I read the chapter 40 and I thought, that if it ended there, it would be the best ending there could be. So, if anyone is getting tired of this manga (sorry, but I was), the end of chapter 40 is the best place to stop reading.

I don't mean I didn't like it, because I did, but I felt like now, that everything is taken care of, a new plot would start running, with which comes a long waiting for new chapters.
That's why now, 'All's well that ends well', I am perfectly okay dropping the manga.

I love this series. And it's seriously not being scanalated fast enough sigh

I love the art, the story and the characters. Mostly I love how Yamato loves Mei. They have their ups and downs, but in the end they still remember what's important to them.

Good with ONE MAJOR ANNOYING POINT

It's good to see that the main heroine is strong-willed and acknowledge her flaws with taking actions to fix them.

What annoyed me: A side character, the model, is having too much focused. I like seeing individual characters' development for 1-2 chapters, with some involvement from the heroine... but a whole volume was about the model with minimal involvement from the heroine. I feel that that it should be its own manga spin-off or something. Shouldn't be incorporated into the storyline.

Theres always too much info to read, the characters arent interesting and are just two good people that like eachother... very boring. Was interesting at first but I'm just a person thats interest is hard to keep so maybe it's just me. Oh well.

There's foreshadowing where you wouldn't have expected it, and the manga so far (chapter 25) has made me nothing short of impressed. There is development with the characters, there is miscommunication, but you can get a sense that they're different from how they were earlier on in the chapters. One thing I love about this is that later on in the chapters there are discussions and talks. Like actual people, they get upset or hurt about things, but they talk them out. Kai I especially love because of his ability to observe and he seems like an amazing voice of reason. You can't really hate any of these characters if you look at it realistically--everyone has a reason, every has a backstory.

This entire manga is impressive work and amazing. The characters deal with situations as they would as teenagers their age. And Mei being the main character never felt wishy-washy or anything--the beginning of the manga, of course, is very awkward compared to later on where things flow and feel a little more, but all characters at one point experience doubt or question themselves. Even the 'villain's as they are, aren't truly villains because this manga doesn't just become a limited POV in some way. It looks upon the development and growth of all these students, and at least one or two things will hit home for you when you watch them go through it.
