Not much can be said about to love-ru manga, if you are looking for an awesome plot and story then you should look somewhere else. Even though the artwork of Yabuki Kentarou is in my humble opinion one of the best i've seen in the manga industry it is wasted on a weak and lacking plot. Each chapter can be viewed as a small separate story in the life of Rito, our main character, and despite the opening of the manga setting up an interesting story and another chapter during the middle of the manga that moves the story along somewhat there is no real progress to be seen. If you are a fan of the ecchi genre then dear reader this should be on the top of your list however that is all that the manga amounts to, a chapter by chapter presentation of Rito and the girls in his life in ecchi situations. Altought it is stated that this is a comedy aswell I had a hard time seeing the humour in the story, most of the time I didnt even crack a smile. Now I write this while hoping that people don't get too discouraged about reading the manga, like I said before if you enjoy the ecchi genre, aren't looking for a serious plot and have some time to spare then I encourage you to pick up this manga and try it out yourself.
Uhhhh..what?

It ended? Okay, this is just ridiculous. I feel cheated after being loyal to the manga and reading for so long even though there was minimal exposition and storyline improvements. I mean, the mangaka could have just done an ending arc, right? How does the mangaka get away with just an ending chapter? I am really upset. I can't even try to rate this series anymore.
ending way too rushed

Great manga, i loved all the characters and the design was great, too bad that the end was so rushed! There were too many things left unfinished, too bad

Looking for the usual fanservice, ecchi stuff with no pretence of having a loldrama plot? Yupe go for it. If you're trying to look for some kind of tearjerking moments or serious philosophy, I'll have to make it clear that this series has none even when compared to the other series of its kind. It is the epitome of fanservice and among the last things you'll want to bring up in a discussion about how good anime/manga is (unless the discussion is a very twisted one).
I personally don't hate ecchi manga, or feel bad about liking them. If you overlook a few things you'll be able to find quite a few gems. Even though I felt quite betrayed by how that you-know-who girl from BC turned out, in the end it's just a 'reference' (well, a reference, if only you could overlook that).
The protagonist is your usual pathetic run-of-the-mill good-for-nothing. Having read BC, I even feel less sympathetic towards the guy (guess I belong in the 'useless protagonist haters' camp). I'm sorry but you don't bring up that many Black Cat references without having people like me make some kind of comparison. This is, of course, my personal opinion that should in no way prevent you from enjoying this series.
The rating doesn't have anything to do with most of my LOLOPINION above. If you haven't read Black Cat there shouldn't be any concern. But being a Black Cat fan, this manga did make me lol big time when that you-know-who guy got run over by a you-know-what (and not just once).
That's not to say this series isn't in dire need of a good plot (I've read many ecchi series with very decent plots). It's just that right now, the plot isn't strong with this one ( I kid, Anakin, I kid).

Gave it a 9, since this is an ecchi/romance/comedy manga i'm going by how well they bring out those genres; that said i think this one is done well; although the story drags every now and then there is plot development, and some of the scenes are quite funny... probably one of the better ecchi mangas out there but it has its flaws
Easily one of my favorites.

I feel kind of silly calling it one of my favorites, but it's just so much fun, it'd be dishonest saying otherwise. The plot is simple, and the characters really aren't too original, but it never ceases to be thoroughly entertaining. And from the shallow, male perspective, the cast of really cute, lovable characters, and pantsu galore really rounds out the enjoyable experience.
Action, adventure, romance, drama, comedy, and fanservice. What more could you ask for?
9/10. The only thing stopping me from giving this a 10/10 is the open-ended story that occasionally causes some frustration only because I'd like to see some real progression in the relationship between Rito and any of the female characters. But I guess that's why it's called "harem". Still great fun, though.

i don't understand why some ppl even rate it below 5 and even 1...!
just ignore them and try it urself~!
i don't think this is that bad...
i like the artwork, and the characters and the story too...
and of course it has some good fan service too
this is a good manga and many ppl like it,
thats why its still running in shonen jump until now
this is not just about ecchi things! ppl who said this manga only contain panties was probably only focused their eyes on that ecchi parts all the time and then they started to blame this manga.

This manga, as mentioned above, is a complete waste of time. I don't know how i made it past the first 75 chapters without my brain melting. Everything original and unique that interested me in the beginning of the series has become boring, annoying and tedious without any character development or new themes. For those who havent read this manga yet, dont pick this up if you are looking for something that will be interesting after 50 chapters or less
nice read

I don't see your problems. I really like this manga. The art is great. The characters are great and this manga is very funny. I never got bored while reading and it doesn't disturb me that the story is progressing slowly. Although the actions are quite predictable, this manga doesn't stop to amuse me. If you want an exciting story with many twists, go and search for an action/drama manga, not a romantic, harem comedy.
