Ending was definitely a kick in the teeth for any hard core fans out there but personally I loved it! The twist completely made sense and Kiyoshi really did foreshadow everything that was going to happen if you paid attention to how he was acting in the final arc.

9/10 for me! It would have been 10/10 if it wasn't for the supernatural absurdity of the Sports Day Arc!

When I first read this manga I hope for Devil Blues, still not getting any of that yet, will wait for a year or two to read it again. My hope is not very high though, as I know manga still needs to conform to rating and its audiences' likeness.

Not a fan of the art, especially the faces they do on the guys. It shows up in shounen etc a fair enough amount that I try to steer clear from the genres. It's a fine light-hearted read that borders ridiculous. I get suspension of reality, but this stuff goes well beyond the line of what passes for 'normal.' Loads of panty shots and tits half hanging out, which does nothing for this gay boy, but no doubt it blows someone's skirt up.

Overall, i think the manga is pretty good. It has its moments, but it can definitely be unbearable at times. With that being said, the ending was brilliant. Kiyoshi got everything he deserved. It was a bit of a twist, but I applaud the mangaka for not simply going with the predictable ending, but rather, the deserving ending.

This probably the first time I get chill after I get to the ending, the author didn't care for the reader, he just want to draw and write what he want. Truly one of the best ending ever in manga history.

This is not a sarcasm, kinda tired of how many author keep want to satisfy their reader and forget what they want to write in the first place.

The whole series is a roller coaster. I feel regret not reading this sooner, because I though it is just some lazy ecchi manga.

the comedy is good, no that will be understating, it's f*king hilarious!! Not a lot manga can make me lmao like this after Eyeshield 21. But I think mangaka tried too hard to make every single scene related to sex and naked girls. Too much that it turn off my mood sometimes. Defenitely can't be rated 10!

Akira´s over the top art is good and the "serious" humor works fine for the about 6 volumes but i now had enough after flipping through the next 4 volumes as i couldn´t see anything to stick around but the series was fairly decent while the joke lasted. The prison arc actually concludes after a while but the following scenario isn´t that hot (no pun intended) or original. All in all Prison School is nothing phenomenal but at least the it´s a clear comedy and not a porno. Not a lot of "hard ecchi" titles can say that but it´s a shame that the author had to kill Me and the Devil Blues which started to really get going.
Update: I flipped through the recent stuff due to the expose the series got after the Kodansha win (an in house award) and the anime but the third arc is just the first one again with clear focus on SM + Watersports so the series had been reduced to a harem porno only. The characters further became deeply unsympathetic and the narrative is weirdly cruel and exploitative so i can only recommend again to drop the series after the first arc and to read the comparable and equality award-winning Ping Pong Club (7,5/10) instead. Jigokuren - Love in the Hell (8/10) further presents a quality ecchi satire that ended too soon and i reviewed both. I wonder why sex focused American comics as Image´s Sex Criminals can both get serious awards and stay on my pull list for the whole run while the Japanese counterparts are regularly bottom of the barrel. At least Me and the Devil Blues came back but the author has a history of burning out as seen here so i will be cautious when i see his name pop up in the future as this isn´t his first derailed porno.

This series irks me so much. The boys put up with all the abuse for no reason at all - they are only into the school for a couple of days at most. And then the over the top S&M implication, its inserted into each and every chapter but cant entertain me the slightest. I know speaking of logic in manga is pointless, but its this is just too much :/

The art is quite nice though. And the plot, even though is absurb, also very original.
