Description
In 18th century England, Gabriel, an orphan girl from a fallen noble family befriended a young man named Jeremy, who was rumored to be an illegitimate child of a nobleman. After an incident occurred, resulting in his tragic death, Gabriel must impersonate her friend Jeremy, taking his place at an all boys academy for nobles, a place that may seem like heaven to others, but really hides a harshness which she would never have imagined.

I'm sorry to say this piece by Lee Hyeon-Sook disappointed me. The first chapter was interesting, but the story moved a bit slow..that, and all the characters look similar. It's difficult to tell them apart. I still don't get what the purpose of the story is and whatever it is, it doesn't seem like she (the lead) is moving anywhere toward the goal.
I'll keep reading it for the art, but I'm not seeing much of the romance/drama/tragedy this manhwa is categorized under.

Words can't explain what a great read this is? ><

This story is so so so so wonderful I could not stop reading it once I started and honestly I got more then I expected. And yes I know the art is oh so beautiful but it's the story that got me really hooked and the art just added to it! My god, the storyline is so good. I love how this reflects around a meaning, like jealousy. Read it if you haven't yet! Don't miss it now..

I rarely love gender bender genre except for Orpheus no Mado (still the best one for me) and this one (coincidentally, they both tell the story about a girl in an all-boys private school for nobles). As usual from this manhwaga, the art is great and the story is good as well. I highly recommend this.

the art and storytelling reminds me a bit of Midorikawa Yuki's work and a bit of Bride of the Water God. The art is sort of sketch-like and the storytelling exudes a dreamlike atmosphere and is a bit dark and mysterious. And unlike other gender benders, the heroine's reason for impersonating her friend, Jeremy, is sad and dark. She is an introvert rather than an extrovert and has strong principles of what is right and noble and what is wrong. She isn't there to change things and make everything wonderful and good, but rather she is just trying to survive the dark underbelly of nobility.

Interesting story. Though nothing much has been revealed [which kind of annoys me], this manga kept me intruiged during the time I was reading it, and I wish to read more.Everyone has already mentioned, but I also want to compliment the art.So beautiful *o*.

There's multiple reasons I like this story. Like other korean mangas, many characters look similar (with the exception of the hairstyle), but this manga simplifies the characters such that I only had trouble with two... and that trouble was rectified quite quickly. The story in the beginning is a tad confusing, but it was quite nicely clarified in chapter 5. Overall, I really like the art and where the story is going. It is quite refreshing to have main characters like Gabriel. Her conflict of emotions together with her personality make her a very good main character. I would give this a most definite read.
Update:
Just finished reading ch26 and I am crying, and cursing to the skies that the story is still ongoing in Korea... that is a crime because I must read the story NOW. It is so bittersweet with tragedy, romance and drama dome so amazingly well, that I am speechless for words. This is simply amazingly done. Not many comics around the world are of this caliber and so expertly executed. Though some things may be cliched, the idea will not even pop into your head. There is no time for this story to be typical. In short, it takes all you've ever known, and executed it perfectly. It is a perfect story with no fault whatsoever in plot, characters, art, anything. It is perfection.
It is the kind of manga/manhwa where as soon as you finish, you start looking for the author's other works and you read them whether they look interesting or not because you know you've found a gem. OMG... why the hell is there such crap out there regarding manga and manhwa when such amazing talent exists? It only makes me depressed to know there is such little phenomenal talent to be experienced. I don't care to remember artists, but I am memorizing her name.

The best thing about the manga is that it is a very unique gender bender. What makes it unique is that 1) It isn't cheesy 2) She isn't immediately figured out (from what I remember) 3) She HAS a reason to be there (and it isn't something stupid) 4) It's set at a boy's boarding school...and things start to happen XD .Though the best part is that she's sadly included in the action
artartart, and hmm the plot..

The mangaka is the author of my rare favourite Flowers of Evil.
The art is loveelyyy!
The plot? Yea its good too. anyway...THE ARTT OMG!! THE ARRRT THE ARTTT~~~~ sigghh~ i just love it so much
haha and well actually, the plot is quite typical (im sure i've heard of girl going in boys school before Hanazakari no Kimitachi e as a rather more well-known one~ and the execution of the story isn't particularly captivating, other than the pleasing art which would lure anyone to keep going.
Especially in the first few chapters, there are large detailed drawings of the characters, which i think is a great exhibition of the art style..
The story doesn't make me cringe and it doesn't make me anticipate every turn either. It is averagely paced, borderline on slow - but I can see clear development in characters that is very realistic and you can easily sympathise to. The growth of love, change of attitude, growth of jealousy/hatred and progression of the events and their affects...This is something not every story remembers to do - to keep the development + reality intact.
Yet, there is much to criticize about the actual story and the characters... angst is a common emotion underlying everything, as well as frustration. It isn't a lighthearted read as there are many serious issues going on, as well as deaths..
But i do feel that it has got to be kept in mind that this isn't an actual manga...but just serialized in magazines..so its quality wont necessarily be up to the standards of actual manga works.
I think its worth reading, just to check out the art first, and then you can slowly read it whenever you have time (its not something to fidget over )..

I understand whats going on, but its all very confusing in the way that its written and how the events keep jumping around without any proper transitions. Also the characters all look very much alike (blonde short hair, all the same height, etc...) and there is no character development (a little with the main girl, but only enough to keep you from being freekishly confused)

In the beginning, I was a bit confused because of the way that everyone was introduced. Even then I was hooked. This manhwa is the most beautiful, dark and complex that I've read so far. I absolutely love Lee Hyeon-Sook's works.
