Transformation power

Im looking for an action manga where the main character can undergo some kind of transformation to get stronger. A few examples i can think of are Ichigo from Bleach, both Sasuke and Naruto from Naruto, Allen from D.Gray Man, and Bokke-San. Also, no tragedies either, although that doesnt mean that the manga cant be a little dark or sad. Although this isnt a requirement, i think it would be cool if the main character couldnt control his transformation or cant control himself when in his transformed state and has some kind of inner struggle, again like in Bleach or Naruto.

claymore has a shitload of transformations
rosario to vampire seasons I and II (not the anime) have transformations too
there are more, i just have to think...

Dance in the Vampire Bund - Did see him transforming but I've only read the first volume.
Kämpfer - Different kind of transformation.
Kami to Sengoku Seitokai - This one would be a good example.

Transformations, huh? Try these:
Kurohime - well, the form she transforms into to get stronger is actually her original form.
Aflame Inferno - Fits pretty good, I think.
Change 123 - perhaps stretching it; but the main girl does go through certain "transformations" to become stronger
Himegami - hasn't happened much, but the main character does have a sort of deformed berserk mode she goes into.
Hellsing - he has a lot of partial transformations. You don't get to see a very full transformation until pretty late in the manga though.
Okitsune-sam de Chu - it pretty much sucks in my opinion, but it definitely has a transforming main character who becomes more capable after transforming.
And you should definitely read Claymore; it's awesome and has some transformations. Dance in the Vampire Bund is also worth seconding. Both protagonists have full transformations.

Mahou Sensei Negima - the main char learns later a
transformation similar to Sasuke's

666 Satan ~ Not in control. (Very similar to Naruto possession)

Chronicles of the Cursed Sword ~ Not really transformation but he does change as he gets stronger.

Negi and Sasuke transformations are NOTHING alike, sasuke looks like an emo transsexual in need of a penis and he complements his look with his attitude, Negi transformation does involve a few symbols and a dark aura (and doesn't look at all like Sasuke transformation), but there is neither lipstick or gay love, contrary to Sasuke, negi has kissed lots of girls and that faq has yet to kiss one.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned the Dragon Ball series.
