I'm looking for manga that go inline with the concept of "for you I would become the devil".
along the lines of: the protagonist doesn't tollerate any action against the ones he wants to protect, and becomes mercilessly violent and malevolent against them.\

I have the feeling I've seen this frequently, but not from the protagonist. Usually, it's the backstory for why a villain went wrong earlier in his life.

I can't believe no one has mention this yet: Kaname from Vampire Knight
He fits everything you described, and he does some shocking things both in the manga and in the anime.
Other manga that I could think of is:
