I'd have to concur with Nabari no Ou, Kuroshitsuji, and 07-Ghost.

I'd have to add Angel Sanctuary to the list. In fact, most of YUKI Kaori's works all tend to have a homosexual vibe to them (at least to me) even if they might not be meant to have one.

Female authors enjoy suggesting homoerotic undertones in their manga because fangirls (usually) go crazy over it. And shonen authors get more fans (most likely female) if they make slashy themes in their manga (think Naruto and lots of other Shonen Jump titles.)

It's more like it's about perspective. What you think makes a homoerotic feeling to a story might not be what does it for me. I do not think Naruto is even remotely yaoi in context (except for that single "kiss" (though admittedly, I'm not caught up with the manga so there might be more instances I've missed)), but it has been mentioned here, and there are many people who take instances I see as friendship in various manga and construe it as possible homosexuality. I don't think it is as intentional as you make it seem (in most cases at least).

I'll agree with the peanut gallery that call Nabari No Ou gay. All they would need was a kiss at the end and....oh wait!

Okay it was just and the holding hands, coy glances, and excessive over-hugging could just be from a very strong loving friendship. (snickers to self)

Have you been to the pages of any of the manga you just listed? They actually say *gasps* SHOUNEN-AI on them. That means that they are homosexual in nature, though they do not go into the sexual properties of the homoerotic like yaoi does. This is about those manga that can be construed, as I said, by perspective as homosexual, but that however, might not be meant to have such themes by the author.

That being said what I was replying to is your response that manga-ka specifically go for yaoi audiences because that is what will make specific people fangirl. That's not necessarily true. Homoerotic themes are put there by people who want to see them or erased by those who don't. I know a person who watched one of your aforementioned manga as an anime and saw none of the implications in it (Kyou Kara Maou). That is what I meant when I said it's about perspective. I will see things you don't see; you will see thing I don't see, and we will take different things from the experiences.

Also, just because you think something doesn't make it anymore true or that someone else's perspective on a topic should be the same. Besides, it is "gay" manga despite who the target audience is.

Naruto definately passed that thin line between friendship...seriously. He's become fulfledged obssesed with his ex-friend.

Get Backers and Ookiku Furikabutte. Ookiku Furikabutte is seriously kinda...you know. The crying, the hugging, the flushed staring and talking they do...really.

There were some moments in Prince of Tennis where I was really starting to have my doubts about the characters.

The way Gokudera is infatuated with Tsuna, is just weird... so I'd say Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and definitely Nabari no Ou.

wasn't Nabari no Ou in shounen-ai genre before? when did they changed it. I remember seeing it there before. After I saw the anime I definately thjought it was. I would say Get backers is a gayish. Even though I liked its concept and action. Never read or watched Naruto or prince of tennis...they are too long for me...as for CLAMP they always put a small part of shounen-ai or shoujo-ai in each and every one of their mangas.

Im with you in this. How in the roaring flames of hell can Nabari no Ou NOT be shounen-ai...cmon...


Thus i also second that the most gayish NON YAOI (stil shounen ai) for me is the aforementioned NnO, on subpar with the "declared" (rofl!) Kyou Kara Maou!.
