I'm looking for a manga which involves reincarnation or events from a past life as the primary focus of the plot.
- I do not want anything about reincarnated lovers - I don't like love stories.
- The events that took place in the past life should be the main theme, and whatever the characters do in this life have to be as consequence of, or a follow-up to, what they were doing in the previous incarnation.
- It's fine if their personalities, looks and relationships are different from back then, and it's okay if they are unable to accept or believe it. Quite all right if they don't remember anything about the previous life during the initial stages of the story.
- Please do not recommend really obvious mainstream/ 'popular' titles or draggy, plot-less, repetitive series such as Saiyuki and Inu Yasha.
- Please do not suggest manga that come under the following genre; adult, hentai, yaoi, yuri, shotacon, lolicon, smut, ecchi, harem/ reverse-harem.
- I will accept manga under the 'Mature' genre tag so long as there are no graphic scenes of promiscuity.
- Romance, shounen-ai and shoujo-ai can be there but NOT as a central part of the story. Best if it is only implied, or does not involve the protagonist(s).
- Apart from that, I'm not picky about the genre.

The only example I know of which fits my description is Kagerou Nostalgia.

I intend to look through the 'categories' section; but since my needs are very specific, I would like some suggestions as well.
My lists aren't public, but that's okay- the only manga I read with such themes is Kagerou.
If I'm not being clear about something, please let me know.

I hope someone can recommend something! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Umm... No- I don't think so. 'Mature', 'Romance' and 'Seinen' genre tags all in the same manga usually make for plenty of rape scenes and stuff like that. I don't like reading about sexual abuse- it disgusts me.
And that 'tragic love triangle' thing...

Thank you very much for taking the time to suggest it, though; because, apart from those little glitches, the rest of the story does fit my description!

Genjuu no Seiza is about a boy being the reincarnation of some high priest, the story secretive, yet to be revealed main plot does have something do to with something his previous incarnation did
Angel Sanctuary if you've not read it already. The plot does involve some past-life lovers sort of thing but in a really screwed up way that's not revealed until the end. There is one cross dresser that shows up near the beginning of the story but he does not show up again until the plot requires it.

Maybe Vampire Juujikai or Silver Diamond? I'm not sure about the latter 'cause I've only read a couple of chapters. The BL there is pretty mild, so it should be okay.

Thank you for the suggestions! Pity Genjuu no Seiza isn't being scanlated; it looks to be exactly my kind of story.
Angel Sanctuary huh? Hmm...the incest doesn't particularly appeal to me, but I can overlook it if it doesn't go into too many details on what the brother and sister 'do' together. I should try it out.

Vampire Juujikai looks okay. I've read the first volume of Silver Diamond and don't think it's about reincarnation. You're right though, that level of shounen-ai doesn't bother me.

Please Save My Earth - It does have reincarnated lovers, but I don't remember it being the main focus of the story.

Does that mean that apart from Kagerou Nostalgia, there are no other manga in the world that incorporate themes on reincarnation without romance? So... I guess you won't be reborn unless you want to get together with your lover from a previous life
