Are there any manga out there were a girl is struggling emotionally or is being abused? Additional to that should be a guy who either helps, just watches or doesn't care.

Edit: The struggle doesn't just have to be emotionally. It can be loneliness, stress, debt, etc.

I prefer shoujo, but any genre is fine.

Examples:
- First Love (SAKAMOTO Isao)
- Eden no Hana
- Bitter Virgin

Savage Garden--awesome this one and quite dark as well. She has to always be wary of her actions and has to make sure it doesn't get revealed that she is a girl. She is blackmailed into being someone else and well you gotta read more to find out why..

Cat Street--the girl is suffering from a childhood trauma

Chiro Star Project--also a gender-bender, her identity is lost and a new one is created, a male one in order to repay debt to a guy whose intentions are quite mysterious and who can be cruel sometimes.

Hoshi no Koe--suffering from loneliness and being separated from the guy. its by sahara mizu who is an awesome mangaka.

XxxHolic - Later in the series there's a girl like that.
Let Dai - This is soft Shonen ai as a main pairing, but there are two girls that are equally important to the plot.

After school Nightmare

Fruits Basket- Although, not the main character so much, but there are plenty female side characters with problems.

There's a lot of those manga it's just about looking them up.

Happy! (A seinen about a girl who has to pay debt her brother took by playing tennis and avoid to get thrown into Soapland(...japanese place where girls wash you...))

Life (A josei about a girl who fights against ijeme (bullying))

Vitamin (same deal but I don't remember seeing any guys in it...she deals with it herself)(not the korean but the japanese)

Hot Gimmick (if you want the guy to be the one who abuse her....cuz of "reasons")

Desire Climax (...though this one is more smutty than..well....)

Kimi no Sei (Guy falls in love with the girl......he used to bully)

Hana yori Dango (About a girl who tries to go against the bully group in her school....big mistake!)

Edit: You should try checking sports manga where there's a female who's the main char...they usually get help from guys and gets bullied alot, heh.

I think that The Deep Love series might be the best. It's all about being abused and struggles. It's super sad too.

These are the titles for the series:

Deep Love: Ayu no Monogatari-The first of the series, revolves around a girl who sells her body for money.
Deep Love: Host-About the guy the main character in the first book was deeply in love with, who needed heart surgery and what he did after her death.
Deep Love: Pao no Monogatari-The dog that was abused that the main character saved, this is from his point of veiw.
Deep Love: Reina no Unmei- What happened to the main character's(in the first book) friend who was pregnant after her death. And lastly,
Deep Love: Real- This is actually the main story about a guy who visits a host club called Platinum. However, since it is not scanlated, I just think of Deep Love: Ayu no Monogatari as the first of the series instead of the prequel.

Hope you find that useful! I have only read Deep Love: Ayu no Monogatari and Deep Love: Reina no Unmei. I didn't continue because it was just too sad! Hope you enjoy them.

The first story in Asian Beat is like that. The other stories also deal with abused and scarred teenagers.

I second Mars. (shoujo)
I recommend Loveless (shounen ai). It will not disappoint you.

Other than that, let's see:
Love Celeb- Is a comedy where the girl is being abused/harassed. It's stupid funny, sexy smutty.
Okane ne gai- is a yaoi manga
Haoi Airen- The girl definately goes through sexual abuse (This is a smutty shoujo)
A lot of yaoi deals with this topic. Do you have a preference in genre?

I loved Sakura Gari, but that's a yaoi...

Watashi no Megane-kun is pretty nice too~ but it's all dark and stuff, just like sakura gari
