I'm looking for mangas that embody this trope: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AndNowYouMustMa rryMe

Paraphrased from the site: "The villain's evil plot isn't just to take over the world, or to kill the hero. His goal is far more personal and sinister – he's going to force the heroine to marry him."

Some examples:
Lucia Rareglove and Elie from [m]Ravemaster[/m]
Sali Tayi and Atan Hadas from Threads of time
Skadei and Lala from Princess
The two main characters in Metronome (LEE Won-Jin)

or..to a lesser extent..
Asagi and Sarasa from Basara
Chisa and Shuji from Saikano

Lesser version of the trope:
Someone who really hate the main girl that he'll do anything to 'break' her. Physically and emotionally.

Ango and Hana from 7 seeds
Hal and Lycoris from Dokuhime
Geraldine and Charles from Silver (Fujita Kazuko)
Wakae and Wada from Sono Kuchibiru ni Yoru no Tsuyu
Haguro and Inugami from Wolf Guy - Ookami no Monshou

Any genre is fine..except those sickeningly cliche shoujo smut that involves abusive bishies and stupid heroins. Thanks.

so basically the guy just obsessed with the girl, am i right?
if that's the case, I think 100% Perfect Girl suits your criteria really well

I was about to recommend Silver but I saw you have it....

go with Show Princess he's obsessed with the girl too

Four Daughters of Armian except the gender is reversed and the reason isn't because of love. But oh well, there are 4 subplots intertwined within the main plot so i think there's also a story about the guy being obsessed with the girl so possessive that he actually made a choice he regretted for all of his life

Hana yori Dango will do anything to make her his gf

Crazy Girl Shin Bia imo, the girl is super annoying but some people like it so i'm just going to put here and let you decide on ur own

edit:
so i reread ur request again, think that you prolly want a villain to be the one pursuing the girl confused

if that's the case, maybe put crazy girl shin bia and show princess to a certain extent. And Four Daughters of Armian, maybe

and 100% perfect girl is perfect for a bunch of psychotic guys who will even bring the girl so low so they can reach to her biggrin sick!

In a good and comedic way, with no ulterior motive:
Double Arts
Magico

In the way you probably meant it to be:
Dance in the Vampire Bund

I'm pretty sure there's a variant of this in Kakan no Madonna.

I think.

Thank you bigrazz
Some of the recommendations sound interesting, I'm not a fan of manwhas/manhuas with romance genres but I might pick up 100% Perfect girl and Hwang Ri Mi's Crazy Girl Shin Bia and Show Princess since you recommended them.

Four Daughters of Armian has been in my wish list for a while, I will probably have a try reading it since you mentioned it has some elements I want in the plot.

Yes, but I want the villian to have other motives as well; like wanting to dominate the world? the financial world? Fame? Money? A kingdom?? War? and he also wants the hero DEAD. But his main goal is to marry the girl, he'll rather die or 'end everything' than not getting the girl he wants.

An example is Sali Tayi from Threads of time who really wanted to marry his childhood crush, Atan Hadas eventhough he already has everything, power and fame. But he had to kill the hero as he is his final obstacle.

King Skadei from Princess perfectly fits the trope because he had fame, power and women but he wanted to be loved by his mistress Lala.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
He even attacked other Kingdom [Ramira] for the sake of getting another woman [Bii] to be his wife and at the same time, he desperately seek for Lala's attention.

Chisa from Saikano perfectly fits this trope in some ways.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
at ...the ending

As for my second criteria, the antagonist has to HATE the protagonist that he/she'll do anything to break that person.

biggrin

Thank you for your suggestions, I've stumbled across them before but I didnt bother to read them. I'll probably pick up Double Arts since you recommended it. ^^

That's very helpful, thank you! I'll read that too.

just wanted to say I love the whole villain falling in love theme and it is pretty rare in manga, I too loved Threads of Time and Princess because of the villains falling in love so desperately (In Princess it is so sad what happens to Lala...)
I would most definitely second 100% perfect girl, the main hero character isn't a villain but I think its in either volume 3 or 4 that the main heroine meets and saves the life of a powerful mafia type and he falls pretty helplessly in love with her, also later another villain falls for the heroine- pretty much all the men fall in love with the main heroine, which I like, lol

Can't Lose you- this is a manhwa done by the same author as 100% perfect girl, main guy is a ruthless powerful heir and heroine is hired to be his pretend fiance, hero falls helplessly in love with her and feels like a monster without her

Jewels (Les Bijoux) the villain falls in love with the heroine/hero, the villain is very cruel and icy- this is not completed unfortunately

Masca- the evil demon lord falls in love with the heroine and even goes so far as to bring her back from the dead a few times (I don't really get why he is evil but they call him evil) he pretty much blackmails her to stay with him so he is not the greatest guy

Hot Gimmick- the (sort a) bad guy of the story is obsessively in love with the heroine and even though he is extremely smart and has everything going for him, he would give it all up just for the heroine, he only needs her

I really would love to find something similar to the relationship of Lala and Skeidi in Princess but I haven't been able to find something as similar except maybe Threads of Time, When you asked for manga in which the guy would want to break the heroine because of hate, are you talking about hate or love-hate....for example in 7 seeds, does the guy actually like the girl and wants to see her emotionally break b/c he is just twisted and really actually loves her? b/c I know in the two BL ones you mentioned there is some love-hate going on

I'm downloading the first volumes of Jewels and Masca as I'm typing this post. Thank you for your detailed recommendations.

FYI I've stopped reading halfway through the first vol. of 100% Perfect girl a couple of hours ago because of the whole rich perfect guy and oh so pretty heroin that he fell in love at first sight...it's too melodramatic for me. But I really appreciate you telling me about the other mafia typed character appearing in vol.3-4, I might skip the first and second vol and read the 3rd vol instead.

Have you tried reading Island? Halfway in the plot, the heroin [Miho] meets the main villian who is dangerously attracted to her.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
He tried to rape her but she was saved. At the ending, he sacrificed himself to save her from getting shot.

Lala and Skadei are exceptionally rare couple, I'm dying to know if there's more couples like that in mangas. ^^

Hate.... or Love-Hate, it doesnt matter. As long as the character has so much hate that he'll do anything to hurt her.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
The guy in 7 seeds has a strong grudge against the heroin and her father, and for that reason, he chose rape as a last resort to 'break her'.
..similar to what Haguro did to break Inugami by making him 'watch'.

I'm so glad that you found a few of my recs appealing..... just wanted to let you know that in jewels the main protagonist can change from male to female and he wants revenge against the villain who falls in love with the female version of him and the villain thinks his enemy is the male version, kinda complicated...

I really think you will like the part of 100% Perfect Girl where the heroine meets the mafia boss, he is gorgeous and pretty villainous, but their "romance" together doesn't last for long- the heroine warms up to him because she loses her memory and can't remember the main hero--hope I'm not spoiling too much, and even though the main hero may seem too perfect at the start, trust me that later on he turns into a jealous possessive beast and their relationship turns into a love-hate relationship- it is pretty melodramatic, kind of like a Harlequin romance novel

Also in Masca you have to read pretty far into the story to finally see how obsessively in love the Demon Lord becomes, I would say up to recent chapters, like to volume 6, its where the real blackmail starts

Yeah, I have read Island but just thought it was ok, maybe because I didn't find the villain that hot or powerful, plus how his arm got chopped off..ew..I would have liked it more if the main villain(protagonist) fell in love with the heroine but that didn't happen (I think I was expecting something as good as the villain-heroine romance in Threads of Time but that didn't happen for me in Island)

I was thinking that you might want to try a manga called Ouke No Monshou, the heroine travels back in time to the Egyptian empire and the Pharaoh falls in love with her, he is a pretty mean, powerful and bad sort of a guy but I wouldn't call him a villain, he is also pretty adamant about the heroine marrying him, although she tries to resist, he is pretty forceful and desperately in love- the art is kinda crappy but the story is good if you don't mind it, I haven't read that far into the manga, only up to like volume 10 I think and the manga is really long like 55 volumes or something

thanks for explaining about the love-hate relationship question I asked but I don't really have a rec for that, sorry- although If you haven't read Please Save My Earth, the two protagonists kind of have a love hate relationship, she loved him and she gave him her virginity, but he resented her and everything perfect she stood for and wanted to take her virginity to bring her down to his level, they really do fall in love later though (though she didn't know he loved her) and the "hero/villain" even comes back in the future reincarnated as as a little boy to find her reincarnation (it is pretty complicated and hard to explain but if you haven't read it before and want to read it just tell me to explain more when you reply)

I agree about Lala and Skadei, I would really love to find something similar and I really want Princess to get off Hiatus so I can see Skadei meet his daughter, I really wish they kept Lala alive and made their relationship evolve more with him telling her he loved her but maybe the way it ended made it more poignant, man he was so evil and he only loved Lala but didn't know how to show it, I was so convinced of his feelings for her that I didn't even mind that he married another woman, because I knew he didn't love her at all- there is just something so great about the powerful villain falling in love because when he does it is only with that one person and he could care less about everyone else, she is his only weakness, I just love that
