I guess the list above isn't bursting with happy stories... Just looking for something that'll make me smile and laugh, sorta like Skip Beat! or with subtle humor like H2/Cross Game.

I really liked Angel Densetsu! =)

I tried Kyou kara ore wa!!, but for some reason couldn't get into it after 5 chapters or so. Didn't find it that funny. Does the story develop a bit more as time goes on?

H2 has like the most depressing ending ever, lol. Definitely not a list bursting with happy stories.

Yotsubato! is a great hilarious and lighthearted read.
Gokusen is just a good manga with some nice humor.
Ranma 1/2 may be to your taste or not; a classic.
