Hi everyone,

I've been reading manga vor some years now and for the past few weeks I haven'd found anything to read. What I want is something with a good story that captivates you while reading.
It has to be:
-either completely scanlated or at least 10volumes+ (with at least 1 release per month)

I don't want:
-annoying/weak main character that stays weak
-a lot of fanservice
-apokalyptic/ alien (sci-fi) elements
- yuri or hentai

examples of what I really like at the moment:
Kingdom - epic with nice character development
Again!!
Feng Shen Ji
Koi dano Ai dano
Natsume Yuujinchou
Oresama Teacher
Sword Art Online (Novel)
The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor (Novel)

so...some developement, likable charakters a good plot/story and some action and romance...
which doesn't mean I don't want fantasy or adventure etc...
all in all just some nice manga XD

If anyone would recommend me something that would be great!!!

Do you want something light-hearted, or is more serious manga okay as well? When I saw the title I thought of 20th Century Boys, but I suppose it can be considered apocalyptic...still, it's the most captivating manga I've ever read. 7 Seeds is very good too (I think it fits your request, even though it's post-apocalyptic), and Monster (but it's very dark, not much romance, and I'm not sure if you're into this kind of manga)

Ones that I like are: Liar Game, Skip Beat!, Hagane no Renkinjutsushi, Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou, Tokyo Crazy Paradise, Gakuen Alice, 100% Perfect Girl, Basara, Code: Breaker, D.Gray-man, Gin no Saji (currently have 9 volumes but I'm sure it's gonna exceed).

There was this thread, that I had posted some recommendations in before, so maybe you can find there some more. It's named Long romance manga.

Aside from this I enjoyed Goong much more as expected, so if you might like historical elements placed in a contemporary setting, which includes romance and many jokes, then you can try this one. Also, you can find a more detailed comment about my thoughts on this there, too.

And Hannune Banhada! Season 1 and the sequel Hannune Banhada! Season 2 was pretty interesting so far, coming up with a rather entertaining pairing and some unique twists. More again in my comment on the page of the 1st season, because I'm still reading the 2nd. ^^

Try Banana Fish (don't let the art put you off, this manga is amazing)
Sanctuary
A cruel god reigns

No romance, except in the last one which is a yaoi I guess but isn't at all explicit, but they have great plots, likeable characters and fantastic development. I also second Skip Beat and 20 century Boys.

I'll post more as I think of them.

Hana yori Dango - an older manga with "strange" art for some ppl, but still clean art and it improves with time smile

Love Com - a really sweet one

Mekakushi no Kuni

Glass no Kamen - a reaaaaalll old school manga, but lovable and long smile

Nodame Cantabile - one of my absolute favorites...

Some that were already mentioned and should be read:

Boku no Chikyuu o Mamotte Gokusen Basara
