I'm looking for shounen-ai/yaoi mangas with art as different from shoujo as possibly, uh, possible. No flowery ornaments, no sparks, no shiny, flowing hair, no empty panels filled with bishounen. The closest I've come are probably all the mangas tagged as "sketchy art style", but that's not quite what I'm looking for, as I'd really like to read something seinen-like with detailed art, especially when it comes to backgrounds or anatomy. Hell, I can't even think of any examples, apart from detailed backgrounds in Abe Miyuki's works, but her character designs - while I love them to death - are still way far from what I'm looking for right now. Any ideas?

Shimotsuki Kairi's Dark Road and her other works are definitely detailed and very seinen like

The only mangaka coming to my mind right now is Kodaka Kazuma with a seinen-like detailed art style.

Edit:
IMA Ichiko has a very clear, realistic style, too. She's a multiple genre mangaka (Josei, Seinen, Shounen Ai, Yaoi), unfortunately mostly of her works are not scanlated.

Naono Bohra's stuff, maybe? She puts a lot of focus into anatomy.

Thank you all for the suggestions! It seems some of their works were already in my wish list, so I'll make sure to read them as ASAP as possible biggrin

Yoneda Kou Cf., for instance: Crows ZERO dj - Borderless, Don't Stay Gold, NightS. No shojou art-style, no puppy-love. Everything she does is great. You might have heard of her though, since she's pretty known...

MW by TEZUKA Osamu - I haven't read it, but apparently not for the faint of heart and a far cry from the more usual shounen-ai.

There are a lot I think. In addition to mangaka suggested in the linked threads I suggest these. For the most part, I think most of their work fits.
MOTONI Modoru. I like Tantei Aoneko; she also does Dog Style.
MONDEN Akiko
INOUE Satou
ABE Akane
KAMURO Akira / TAKAO Hiroi
SAKURAI Shushushu
SUZUKI Tsuta
NATSUME Isaku
Second KODAKA Kazuma

MirayAllen, that's what I always say. There's always someone who hasn't heard of what I might consider required reading. I'm working on a presentation on must-read titles and mangaka, and though many are what I think too obvious to mention, the last time I did it I had people who didn't know Viewfinder and Loveless, for example.

BTW, ZoyaH, while Doushitemo Furetakunai is good, imo Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai is head and shoulders, ankles and feet better. eyes

Oh myyy, thank you! I wasn't familiar with some of those mangakas, awesome. And MW is on my list, too, but I'm kinda scared to start it, same with Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai. They seem so dark and I'm currently in a fluffy mood biggrin

You're welcome, I'm glad some are new!

I had the idea you wanted darker stuff. Let's see, fluffy seinen-style... maybe:
OUMI Shinano, Usagi to Ookami no Shinshikyoutei
Mezase Hero! by KODAKA Kazuma
50 x 50
Shibuya de Aimashou - seinen and shounen-ai
