Hi I'm looking for a romance manga which is really good but not quite popular.
I now it sounds contradicting but there are mangas with awesome stories but are not appreciated.

I'm usually browsing for new manga by using the Categories in bakaupdates.
After I've searched that certain category, I read only the manga which has higher rating.
I don't usually bother to check the manga with score of 7.5 or less.
But lately there are some manga that I've found priceless despite the low ratings.

Here are some of the samples that I've accidentally read but was quite good:
Seishun Away
Haikei Date Masamune-sama
Ojikoi
Tenchi Shinmei!
Hakamori Majo Bianca
Love Rerun

To be honest, I don't really believe the rating system in MU. I used to search manga like your way but then find out that more high ratings are not really fit my preference. Not to mention that Yaoi manga often has insanely high rating.

Well, actually there are many reasons why a great manga's rating is not higher than 7.5. And these are the list that I thought the reason because it is out of cliche. (Well, can't be denied, Shoujo Cliche-sama is a very powerful being that can give even cheap shoujo high popolarity)

Mint na Bokura, it's more comedy than the romance, though.

Nejimaki Mano-san, with!!, and Andante, I won't reccomend it if you are a cheap shoujo freak, though. You'll hate the ending no matter how good and meaningful the story is.

Nanairo Kakumei. Actually worse than above, if you are a cheap shoujo freak, reading this is a torture. Its 1st ch just scanlated today, by me alone. So I guess I don't need to tell you why and how much I'm in love with this series.

Sora no Mannaka, normal I guess? It's still not your usual Shoujo, though

Hatsukiai, it is even not a shoujo. The romance is just too cute to be a shoujo. If you like it, I reccomend all her others works

Mugen Sowaka - Toukyou Shoujo Onmyouji, it's a mystery why this has low rating.

Many other out of the box underrated shoujo titles that I can reccomend, but it's more because it's not openly scanlated. Like:
Risouteki Boyfriend
Kataomoi fever
Hatsukoi, Futatabi.

Nothing below 7.5?? Holy cow are you leaving some stuff on the table. Yeah, symuri is right, though I'd personally take it one step further......I don't put much stock in "ratings" here or anywhere else......for whatever medium. For the most part I don't even look at them unless it's something so low that it just happens to catch my eye.

Blindly basing everything on one little arbitrary number without even checking them out? Yeah, you, uh.......you're most likely missing out on a lot you'd otherwise enjoy reading.

Some of the better ones off my complete shoujo list below 7.5 would be Confessing Truthfully, Full Dozer, Half & Half, Kyou, Koi o Hajimemasu (one of the top-selling overall manga and most popular shoujo of its time by the way, but you wouldn't have even looked at it because it's rated at 7.48 >_<) and Parfait Tic!.

Thanks for the suggestions biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin
Like I've said, I've learned my lesson... I won't judge the manga anymore based on the MU rating.
