you dont expect someone to check on 100 series, do you? also i doubt that those series are all worth the time seeing that you got mixed up a few shonen series as well, which definitely aren't recommended to someone who's read as much as me.

hmm, that's too much to check out. Could you both reduce your suggestions to RECOMMENDATIONS? I dunno why, but do you seriously think a hardcore seinen reader like me who loves politics and history manga would actually like shaman king? please reduce your recommendations to 4-5 series that are actually not on my list (like I said in the first post).

edit: thanks to you I found a couple of series that I've read but werent on my reading list yet. so the list was updated.

there should be limits to your laziness.... dont you feel guilty in the slightest by asking others to hand pick works for your enjoyment?

You do realize that the entire point of this section of the forums is to ask for recommendations, right? I really have no idea why you would post here if you're opposed to the basic idea.

As for actual recommendations
Hitsuji no Uta is a pretty awesome horror/psychological from the author of Hatsukanezumi no Jikan. If you liked that, you'll probably like this as well.

Himizu is also a good one. It takes a pretty dark outlook on society though.

It's josei, but for drama you might like Usagi Drop. For some reason I've found myself enjoying it quite a bit.

Liar Game is a good psychological/drama.

I'll come back if I can think of others.

there is a HUGE difference between asking "hey im looking for something new, i like x, y, and z. if you can help me find something similiar that would be nice. thanks."

and asking "hey ive read everything, someone find me something amazing, but go through my entire reading list first. if you find something i have already read, or that isnt up to my standards, im going to insult you for not doing my job properly."

The just don't make suggestions. The point is that there really isn't a reason to be aggressive, if you don't like the person's methods or the design of a person's request, then just don't help. Saying things like "if I saw you I'd spit on you" is meaningless and only degrades things into a flame war.

To me, silverado just knows what exactly he(?) wants. Besides, it's not like he didn't update the post with a thank you as well.

...You say this and yet you tell the people to go trough you 240+ reading list and make sure that they dont segest a series that you are already reading...ok then..

Well i tough i would be nice (wasn't plaing to after the thanks that i got) and go back and cut out most of the shounen and shoujo series in my list of segestions. Also there was shounen in there because i saw that you do actualy read shounen series, so whatever i trow some shounen in there, if you didnt like what you saw you could have just looked over it because there are ones there that you would like. And thats that.

Also... You know you shouldnt really..I guess you could say "gloat" by saying stuff like "which definitely aren't recommended to someone who's read as much as me" to somebody who has actually read more then you and more of a veritiy at that (I'm not really trying to gloat about it tough, because the amount i have read is still a small amount compared to how much is actually out there), It just does't really feel right.

@silverado, lezard is right you really haven't read much (but I did find couple of finds that I wanted to read (haven't gone through it all yet) from your list, so thanks).

@lezard you have very little variety in your list its mostly shoujo and romance but you did read a frigging lot of it.

as for recommendations I only picked from my complete list (I don't usually like to read unfinished manga, so I am only recommending completed manga).
alive!
arcana soul
black cat
crying freeman
new grappler baki you have tough but no baki
houshin engi
level E
narutaru

if you want more check out my lists

thanks lezard, I really appreciate it and will go through the list again. Also I like josei, but not so much shounen manga.

rajeshv, I pick the series very carefully! That's why I haven't read much in quanitity but I've read a lot of quality series out there. The couple of shounen series I have on my list were added recently to complete the list and prevent double posts.

Even if you say that, I really enjoyed all of them. I only picked the ones that I thought others would enjoy. Plus if you haven't read Shaman King your missin' out anyway.
