An OVERWHELMING majority of people wanted to see SFX in the margins of their scanlations. For all you scanlators out there reading this, you may want to consider going with what people want, and put the SFX in the margins (probably easier on the editors, too, haha)
We've added a slight new feature for series comments. You can now vote "yes" and "no" if the comment was helpful or not. If you have the time, please help fill up the database by voting!
For instance, was Naruto comment 65 helpful in getting you interested in the series or whatnot? (random example)
For now, we will just be recording data. Once enough votes have been made, we'll design a system that will actually use the data for something that'll benefit everybody!
You could call this poll a little more...business orientated...Anyways, I'm expecting less people to vote for this one just because of the nature of the poll.

Comedy wins the day, with romance just right around the corner! But you know, some people are really sadistic and hateful...over 1000 people voted for wanting to kill off characters...But personally, I laugh at the naked poll option, full of sound effects like "bom chicka, bom chika, bow bow"!
(Btw, I chose the romance option as my favorite. Yeah, I'm a softy...)

Update: It seems that people are seeing this category in a few different ways than I originally intended, so I'm going to suspend this until I figure out how to deal with that.

Hmm, it appears that most people read the manga first, and then decide if they should watch the anime or not, as long as the manga was good. At least these are the stats for mainly manga readers...Just remember that anime seems to be more popular~
I've taken the liberty to update the "What's New" section. It now shows releases that are dated for 2008 and you can sort them 3 ways, by date added, by rating, and by past 3 month activity stats.
Hopefully this will be more useful than what was there before.
Although it is April Fool's Day, we at B-U [color=red]WILL NOT[/color] tolerate any fake releases being announced/reported to us. If we, by accident, allow a fake release to get through, please report the mistake to us. (This includes manga and anime releases)
If any group attempts to keep posting fake releases as a joke, we will take severe action against the said group. We wish to remain as accurate as possible for our members

Some of you may not have realized, but back in the beginning of October, we disabled download links for all series marked "licensed" into the English language. The original news post can be found here:

Now you're wondering why I'm bringing this up now.
If you submit a manga release to us that is for a licensed series but an unknown scanlator (we define that as not being listed in our group database), even if there IS a download link, we will [color=red]REJECT[/color] that release. Likewise, if you add a new group that has no website or IRC link, and is without any approved releases, unless you state a reason for this (through a pm to me), the group will also be [color=red]REJECTED[/color] (if any questions about this, pm me).
(On an unrelated note, "Anonymous" or any variation of it will not be accepted as a group name in the release entry. Please use "?" for unknown groups)
For unlicensed series, releases made by unknown groups (as under the previously defined definition) without download links will be [color=red]REJECTED[/color].
In other words, don't try and submit anything that crosses the bounds as stated above.
