SCX-Scans vs. Operation Boredom

It appears a new group has started scanlating Shina Dark. Since they appear to be releasing faster, I naturally decided to check them out, but boy was I dismayed.

If you were to describe Operation Boredom's scanlations, it would seem that they take speed precedence to quality. Their redraws are obvious and uneyecatching, and their translation seems to be stripped straight from a translator.
Although SCX Scans may not be perfect, I admit their chapter one could used better work, the quality that they seem to be producing now for exceeds that of OB.

Speed isn't everything in the world of scanlating, if too much quality is compromised, even a great manga like Shina Dark can leave a bitter taste in your mouth.

Word of advice, read SCX-Scan's version, as of now it's a lot better, though that may change in the future.

Just by looking at the plot and characters, I just had a feeling that this is a keeper. Seriously, the protagonist actually looks promising, since he is strong, funny, and somewhat humanistic.

Couch Potato Satan! XD

The first arc spans the entirety of one volume and basically lays out the background of the story. The second arc, starting in the second volume, covers the details of what it means to operate a nation and contrasts what they're doing on the island against the various nations that the women came from. Of course, Exoda isn't going to bother with actually running the nation... that's a job for the women.

I'm actually more interested in how this series will turn out since it has already laid out the foundations for "global" politics (aka war).

Promising...

a nice way of starting things off without any misleading scenario, although the main character(Satan) was shown to be idiotic and lazy at first then becomes awfully powerful when he gets serious(which is already a cliche about main characters who fits the same description) it does leave the impression of "who can match up" against him in further chapters. The only thing to look out for is how will the women change(in terms of beliefs and emotion) as the story progresses and how the author projects satan(his past and such), not much can be said about it for now as it is only in its 1st chapter(scanlated), but it can be promising.

also kudos for the scanlating team(SCX), excellent cleaning and editing, the time that they take to translate and edit it is fairly quick, considering the quality of their releases.

The main hero is a loser? what's wrong with your perspective?

He's just lazy, or laid back, or whatever >_<"

Anyway, the manga got potential, with only just 2 chapters out. Look forward to new chaps

Oh those pesky Japanese, they just have to throw in random Christianity reference for the heck of it, don't they? Until this manga introduces an arch-nemesis named Jesus I'm going to assume that its creators are a bunch of fad-jumping posers.

I usually pass up "Harem" series (although if done correctly they may be quite amusing), but there's something about the phrase "couch potato Satan" that made me try it.

The first part of the chapter was kind of awkward. I had to rush the editing of the first part because I got lazy and that was a last minute thing :/. For the record, I like my verticle typesetting for some of the small text, Hmph And the proof I used to typeset seem to be version 1 and not version 2 <_<;;.

Read the first chapter. It's pretty straightforward. Easy to understand. It starts when everybody is already on the island, and is from the perspective of Satan, who is the incredulous type. I just hope the characters develop enough and their interactions become varied enough that this doesn't turn into Goshuushousama Ninomiya-kun, because that would suck, to me who likes plot / characters / tasteful ecchi.

The characters remind me a lot of Sekirei, but they're not totally the same. Tsuruume (if I remember her name correctly...) is sort of like the red-haired girl, and all the girls end up acting ecchi for him, and there's a loli who's a lot like the Sekirei loli. It's not really a notable story to me yet--the plot doesn't appear deep--but SCX has produced a nice, very HQ release with the exception of some noticeably awkward phrases. The blonde hasn't been developed much yet.
