Description
A deadly virus is spreading across mankind, turning humans into gruesome monsters known as ‘Kanshu'. Yet no one knows of their existence, except for the organization called ‘F.L.A.G.', dedicated to hunting down and destroying the source of the infection. Its members possess extraordinary powers, capable of unleashing righteous fury on their enemies.
One day, a cell phone message from a dead relative leads estranged youth Riku Amami unwittingly into the conflict between F.L.A.G. and Kanshu - and to a mysterious cocoon that would change his life forever, for better or worse…

The long pause...

This series flows like the tide, having high points and low as well... I've read up to ch 42 and found three strong points the beginning, around ch 15 and then a longer pause till around ch 40. If you can stick with it you'll like the character developments and plot quirks that develop through the story.

P.S. this isn't to say that the story doesn't progress it keeps moving. I found those 3 times to be my favorites.

This is one great manga that I ever read. It's true when I first read it, I fell bored but after a few much chapter you can find a good development against all the character. Hope it doesn't have sad ending like Chrno Crusade. But in overall this is one best manga.

I really think this manga is one of the best I've ever read. Very dark and violent, but with lots of character development,

I think Riku is a very interesting main character, he's untraditional in many ways. I love how you never really know what he's thinking, and that kinda makes him more convincing.

The art is just amazing, Just plain amazing, of all mangaka i think Moriyama makes the best art.
Anyway, this the one is a must read for everyone, it's just awesome.

The first 15-20 chapters or so are amazing, but after that the storyline seems to lose something. I can't specify exactly what...but...something.

Now then, art is top notch, and the fighting is very easy to understand. However I can't say whoever liked Chrno Crusade will like this. The lack of a developing relationship and romance will throw off Chrno fans at one point. For me, that point was as previously stated around chapter 20.

So...overall, I'd have to say this is a manga everyone should definitely START reading, however I doubt many people will read it all the way through.

For those who liked Chrno Crusade

I was browsing OneManga.com and I noticed that they had World Embryo and so I decided to read it. I was actually quite impressed with what I was reading. The art is pretty much the same as Chrno Crusades. In other words, the art looks nice. The plot is original, and this manga has plenty of action to please the eye. I am sure that who ever likes Chrno Crusade, will like this as well.

WARNING: This manga contains Graphic Violence, Brief Nudity, Fanservice, and Strong Language.

Well, not really. The story is quite interesting, albeit a little too mysterious and slow at times. However, Moriyama has that enviable ability to make anything shine, mainly due to really good artwork.

I liked Chrno Crusade much more though. It was the main characters, I think. Rosette and Chrno made a far more dynamic pair, contrasting each other easily and naturally. In World Embryo, the two mains are similar yet different, to the degree that it gets on my nerves. They should've just kept _that guy_, jeez.
Oh, and the fanservice/pantyshots have increased by a large amount in WorldEm, which is alright, because at least it looks fine and doesn't seem out of the way.

I think Embryo's done. It peaked at chapter 15 and its been pretty bad since.

Daisuke Moriyama is a genius a slightly perverted genius but still a genius.
World Embryo is the first manga to really catch my attention sinse chrono crusade.

The art style has a nice balance of detail, clearity and earthiness (not to clean like the other side of the mirror or kingdom hearts.) that makes its otherwise unoriginal style stand out.

The plot is interesting and well planed allowing each book to stand on its own like chrono crusade.

Mr. Moriyama knows what hes doing.

I'ld give it a 9/10 instead of 8 but it is to soon to say it deserves it.

I like this manga. The fact that it starts off with the cellphones isn't appealing to me, but otherwise, it rocked. It has a nice action type atmosphere that isn't too bloody or too light. ^^

P.S.I hope a group will scanlate later chapters.
