Thoroughly enjoyed it

I really did.

I love it when mangakas discuss the complexity of relationships and then apply them to different situations. I found the theme of unrequited love delicately expressed-you can sense that thought has been put into the writing. The mangaka does care about her characters and that's always a plus. The art is beautiful; it's one of those rare instances where you stay at one page before going to the next-to appreciate the art rather than just flipping through the thing.

Can't wait to finish this smile

One of my favorite sport manga, its also a very excellent talent manga. I really love how ones emotions get caught up into it; everytime the team scores a point I almost want to cheer loudly for them, or at the very least smile like an idiot.

The art takes a little bit getting used to, if only because the 'tom-boys' are generally indistinguishable from boys. Still after you learn the finer nuisances of the mangakas style its easy enough to tell.

Overall, it only got an 8.5 from me was because I don't really like how the romance is done, it seems a bit over-exaggerated to me, but its still good.

I disagree with the user below. I don't think Nobara is masculine. She just lacks self-confidence regarding her femininity. Sure she's big-boned. I'm also big-boned and very tall, but actually, aren't most models are? And the plot is not that repeating. She's not dumb like all the other heroines who get swayed by the merest of kindness. She's kinda pure and pushes through with her love so naively. Sure, there are some pitfalls in the plot and cliches` but I think people have forgotten that cliches` happen in real life too, at the most alarming rate.

Definitely a unique story. The heroine isn't your normal average dense and weak girl, but a headstrong, tomboy. Nobara chases after her dream of going to Haru High playing volleyball. Her attitude and personality affects others in a good way.
I love the romance in here, because there isn't waaaay to much like how in other mangas, they make it way dramatic. This one is perfect, and I love how Nobara knows when to focus about sports than guys.

Poorly planned

Starts out fairly strong with a likable protaginist, but after having the plot wander around for a while a while, the author apparently ran out of ideas and just sends her on a training journey (big sports manga cliche), and when she returns, the only thing the series can put forward is vapid statements about teamwork and how winning isn't everything, as if the series was suddenly being written for 10 year-olds.

I like the fact that it's got sports and the adrenaline-y feel to it, but it's also extremely shoujo because the characters are so deep and it centers a lot on relationships and emotions. The plot is ok, not TOO slow, and the art is actually very pretty once you get used to it. It's very realistic though, that's what I love most about it. The conflicts and the friendship and stuff... it's like bittersweet, really makes your heart twang a little when you see the characters go through tough scenes.

Actually I only started reading it for the love triangles... teehee! XD

i really liked this one and i rarely read sport mangas
but i really like the main character how she's really determined and strong.
i also like how passionate she is about volleyball and how she bonds together with her team.
the romance is okay nothing new...seems like to me the classic love triangle

overall i really liked it...kept me wanting more

A+ READ!

Crimson hero is such a good shoujo manga and it's not your typical one and barely any cliches. It's very original counting that it mainly revolves around volleyball. Usually I couldn't see myself reading something like this but I tried it out and I LOVE it! The girl isn't your typical whiny girl either, she's got a strong personality. There's a lot of cute guys too smile The drawing is really beautiful too. At first when she begins drawing it all from the beginning, it may seem less like it but already you don't even notice it's improving and the guys hairs change and looks better and the facial features are just different. They look older which is weird from already a couple chapters and they're only 15...hahaha but yeah it's a really good read! And don't worry, it's defiantly not only volleyball. Plenty more for sure and lots of improving relationships (hint hint!) It's an awesome read!
