Just nice and pretty.

It's an interesting story. I enjoyed the characters, and the main storyline. Mainly had problems with the art and character development.

There's definitely no lack of bishounen/bishoujo in this manga, and they are all drawn very well. But... they all look the same. Everyone had pretty much the same facial structure/eyes. The only thing that changed were the clothes and the hairstyle. This made it very difficult to follow the plot, especially when the main group was travelling and encountering new characters on a chapterly basis.

The other thing that I disliked about the manga was the lack of character development. They had very distinctive and interesting personalities, but once you find out their backstory, that's it. There's no real growth. The antagonists just seemed plain evil, so it's also very hard to identify with them.

Overall, an interesting enjoyable read, especially if you like bishies.

Heroine

Ley/Lena was FANTASTIC. She is without a doubt one of the best characters I have ever read about. I cannot truly enjoy a manga when the lead character is a blithering idiot. Lena is the oposite end of the spectrum. While she was, at times, a bit too all-knowing, she was exactly what I needed to find a reason to continue reading manga as a genre. If you are disgusted with the incredibly stupid shojo girls, this is the manga for you.

Sadly, the plot does leave something to be desired. This is the kind of manga that you love BECAUSE of a character, not because of the plot. It's a perfect break from mangas that I love DESPITE the god-awful characters.

Lots of action

Good read but little romance. The ending isn't that much of a let down because it's like your typical fairy tail leaving things up to your imagination. Lucien and Lena make an interesting couple but their romance isn't really the focus of this story; however, it has a well thought out story behind it that is hard to stop reading once you start. Len/Lena is one of the best female protagonist I've ever encountered.

A brilliant female lead who should be used as a base for other mangakas.

I would've liked an extra chapter at the end. One that rounded everything off, that told you a bit about all the characters' lives after the war had ended and what they were doing. Most of all I would've liked to see more of Ley and Lucien after they got together.
Ley at the beginning is tough; she's cold, cool and know's what she's doing. She's ruthless and doesn't help others if that would harm her, which is a refreshing and realistic change from the heroine who likes to help everyone. Her character stays that same throughout the manga and for that I am glad.
After reading the comments I was expecting the ending to be really rushed. It was but it didn't really ruin the whole novel.

I thought how the author ended the series, with Ley going back to our world and letting go of her feelings of revenge and her love for her half-brother-turned-not was good. It meant that when she decided the stay in the other world it was a peaceful decision and one that was not forced or heart-rendering. And overall I liked how it was done.

SO disappointed by the ending

This would've gotten a 10 if the author just added one more volume to end it.
I seriously loved this manhwa as I was reading it, despite its many flaws. The plot was really interesting and I loved loved loved Ley and Lucien (and, you know, all the other hot guys). But the ENDING. what. Rushed is a gross understatement. I thought Ley was actually dreaming during the whole ending and that she would wake up to the real world so things could finish up but then it just ended. I actually said, "whoa, WHAT" after I realized that was it.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I mean, Michael was even supposed to save her and I thought they'd have at least a couple pages showing him breaking into the castle and whatnot, but it just skipped all that, and all of a sudden the queen's mother comes and whisks everything away and all is good and dandy.

Also, so COMPLETELY disappointed by the lack of action between Ley and Lucien. I thought they had a lot of chemistry but they didn't do anything more than kiss once or twice (and not even consensual kisses, mostly surprise kisses from Lucien). I also love the idea of two people destined for each other dreaming of each other before they actually meet, and this was one of the few love stories I've read/watched that incorporated that, and then...they're barely in love. :/

I'm actually so disappointed by this ending that I don't recommend this manhwa at all, even though it was one of my favorites as I was reading it (and I am REALLY picky about my manhwas/mangas). Stay away sad

What I really enjoyed about this manga was the art. It was all done very well. The story had some pretty interesting twists that kept you coming back for more. I did feel as if the ending was rushed.

Loved this manga....but maaaan did they rush the ending.
SO many mangas do this. Great story but they hardly ever seem to know how to end it right?

This ending was fine and tied everything up....but it's like they had a volume's worth left but crammed it into one chapter. 100% worth the read tho

I enjoyed this story very much. I thought the ending would have been better but that's just me. I believe it was too rushed, plus there was no story development for any of the characters. I really hope something more is coming out.

I agree that the story is confusing a couple of times but still a really good read. It was really good for a long story but again too rushed at the ending sad

I see that I am not the only one, when I say that I sometimes had absolutely no idea of what was going on. When starting on a long manga/manhwa series, I am quite careful about writing down the names of all characters, so that I don't get confused. But with this one...That just didn't work. bigrazz Hahahahaha! There are so damn many good looking guys with long hair, it's amazing. Problem is, for a very long time you just can't tell one from another.

I really was hooked for the first two volumes, then suddenly there was this crazy introduction of too many kingdoms and too many characters at once. You really have to write down EVERY side character's name down, or else it will kick you right in the nuts later on (which is quite the wrong use of words, since it will mostly be females that read Saver). For some time, in the middle of the series, I considered dropping it because it was so confusing, but I just stubbornly kept on reading. Luckily I began enjoying the manhwa again for the last five volumes (still, that equals that I didn't particularly enjoy 10 out of the 17 volumes). Then things began making sense, just a bit.

Saver works best when the plot takes place at the same location for some time, for instance in the beginning at the school or at the queen's castle later on.

Ah, the characters are also mostly built up by what their occupation is, or what tribe they belong to or what tragedy they've been through, but really, you don't think too much about the flatness of the characters while reading it.

To sum it up, this manhwa confusing as hell, so you better carefully write down all the names (and the haircuts of the persons, since that is the only way for you to tell them apart), and it has it's ups and downs - but it's okay. If you're lacking on stuff on your to-read-list, just give it a shot.

WTFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!! what is seriously wrong with these fu&*&ing shitty authors?? Do they get boners off incest themes or something?? The story line is awesome but the whole incest thing between brother and sister is like a bitch slap. I just can't stomach it and I dont understand how alot of people can just ignore it.

There is only a very mild incest theme for the two first volumes, and later on you find out that they aren't even siblings, which is quite the common twist in shoujo manhwas/mangas. Please read it completely before making a review from only that tiny bit of the plot.

(note: the quality of the scans also vary a lot, so be prepared to stumble upon at least 5-7 volumes of LQ)

A bit rough but gets better
by MangaGhost

Starts off rough. The art in the beginning is bad. All the characters look the same except for hair. Little to no facial expressions leaves characters looking stiff. The artist also can't draw a fight scene to save his life. Some panels you are left with wondering whats going on? Transitions are also very bad as it will switch from one person to a different person in another location without warning (also doesn't help that many characters look the same).

What saves this series for me is the story and main protagonist. Unlike some I don't mind that lena/ley has somehow moved from one world or time to another. The story was at first a bit incoherent, but has become clearer as the series moved on. The other thing I like is the main protagonist Lena/Ley. She's smart, talented, a bit cold and aloof. She's also realistic, seeing a slave beaten by her master she walks away saying she wont get involved and attract attention to herself. She's also not unbeatable as she gets captured a few times. This is a refreshing change from all those mangas with heros or heroines who want to save everyone and have a plucky or perky attitude.

Also around volume 5 there is a big upgrade in the artwork, the characters are more refined and more easily differentiated. There is more detail. The author also seems to have discovered their funny bone and some humor gets thrown in. My advice is that you need to stick with the series for at least 10-15 chapters and then it will start to pay off.

Its a decent series with a strong main character, but no way this is a 9 or 10 series.
