i absolutely fell in love with this series...the art, storyline, everything is just the perfect amount, not too much or too little......i'm just VERY sad for shyao....hope it'll all work out....you'll fall in love with it from the first volume, if you're a big action-comedy-shounen type of person....also, you can find it on lurk if you're looking for where to dl it

There are only a few mangas/manhwas that makes me reread them again and again. This is one of them. It's a pity became all the groups that were working on it, seems to have dropped it and so we will probably never get to read the ending. So many positive reviews for this speaks for its quality.

This was the first manga I ever bought (or downloaded). I saw it in a bookstore and immediately fell in love with the artwork and the RPG esque world. The characters, story, artwork, and action scenes are all top notch. There's also some romance and comedy elements thrown in for good measure. My favorite character is Hyacia followed by Jarhoon and Rey. Tokyopop has released through book 16 so far. I can't recommend it enough, especially if you are a fan of fantasty/RPG style worlds.
update:
It's been a long time since I commented on this series. I just read through book 21. The last few volumes I've noticed a considerable decrease in quality of the artwork, though it's probably been a gradual thing. Rey does not look nearly as cool as he used to and he's acting more and more like your typical shounen main character. Hopefully will get better again but it just seems to be dragging on too long. I see it is 36 volumes and ongoing as I write this. lowering the rating to a 9

Another overrated manhwa, reminds me a bit of Id.
I didn't last more than 2 volumes so take the comment as such, if it gets better I wouldn't know of it but it's of to a very bad start.
Many annoying inconsistencies. Our heroes try to escape the castle and choose to go in the direction of the enemy, we are talking of hundreds of people setting things on fire and destroying and killing, so noticing where they are should be a piece of cake, since it makes no sense the author blames it on a cluless girl... what a way of justifying dumbness. Then of course we have Rey who can't use the cursed sword on humans, ok... so why doesn't he carry a second weapon then? And the third member of the party, the King who gives himself in a hostage exchange for our hero that hates him, really?
But the one that finally put me off from the little interest I had had so far, picture this: Rey is possessed > we need to wake him up > hey lets wait till he defeats the demon first > nah that would make too much sense > lets do it now so the demon can counterattack us later > ok! > demon attacks. That's the logic of the author and I don't expect much more than its equivalent for the rest of the manhwa.
I might try again if this is ever completely scanlated, right now its too much for a story that doesn't seam engaging and that I wouldn't be able to finish anyways.
Forgot, the art design is decent, very classic, sort of japanese old school or early manhwas, in any case, the fights are no good, hard to follow the action, there is no fluidity from panel to panel (again, based on volumes 1 and 2 only).

One of the first mangas I read and I still love it. The characters are interesting and the plot if deep enough to hold your interest without getting you totally confused and has some good twists. Good balance of action and seriousness with some comic relief. The art gets a lot better as the series progresses and Rey's apperance changes a lot which is actually refreshing. It got me completely hooked and I devoured the first 14 volumes, returning when the next 4 were released. Only downside is infrequency of releases since CCS is inactive and HAO dropped the project.

this series is just plainly awesome. it reminded me a bit of angel sanctuary. sometimes im described as a cold person. but after reading through all those volumes, and then see that rey is betrayed by the person he trusts the most, i just had tears of rage in my eyes.
for all who like shounen manga with a good storyline and romance with comedy, take this one! I dont have that much manga at home, (sigh, I shouldnt download everything but buy more) but I deffinetly want the whole series, and its 29 volumes and ongoing. but trust me, im prepared to lay a hugh amount of money down for this one.
