For the 2 volumes I've read... this isnt too bad at all
Okay okay, it's not particulary well done in any aspect... Its just a kids shounen after all
The artwork isnt anything great either (at the start, not sure about the rest), but if you can get over all of those things... It's a pretty decent read, and much better than the anime
It's almost funny in it's cheesyness. And who doesnt like cheese

I work with the group that scanslates the series, and I like reading it. The art does get better in later volumes, so we can't wait to get to them!

The characters are pretty cool, and you can get behind them. The villains can be sorta hackneyed, but maybe with the later villains like Pegasus and Malik, things will get better.

In other words, it's a manga that starts off slow and gets better as it goes.

ok so there is people who hate this!!! keep opinions or comments to yourself at least bad one if you know what i mean!!(or who).^^i like manga! though i think the card games and other things are whack. But i still like the manga and anime. yami is so hot ^^ . obliterate ha ha ha funny. just like my brother he just a yugioh hater hater he reminds me every time i watch it .oh well what can you do.even though im rating it a 8.5 it a good story^^.

I enjoy reading Yu-gi-oh, and believe me there are other manga I'd rather send to the shadow realm.

But honestly, Yu-gi-oh is a really well done series. Sure it has the card game, merchandising, and other stuff. Still, how else is a series to gain new readers (or viewers)

The best character is none other that Yami Yugi. IMO. He's got the looks (in any volume 5+) and, in the anime, the voice (so hot & sexy) and other qualities I happen to really like.

The series itself is good. Nice artwork, nice plot line (save the duels)

However sometimes really good series must end (Yami meets his) and sequels of a much lesser quality do happen. GX needs to just cease to Exist.

Now now kiddies. That isn't right. I happen to enjoy reading Yu-Gi-Oh! and used to be an avid card game player. So there. Its actually a decent series, and just to spite you, I'm going to give this a 10.

Please, obliterate the entire manga, author, publisher, trading game, merchandasing and TV series. Then, proceed to clear all the memory of the people who ever heard about it. Then, proced to destroy all servers whit even the minnimal reference of Yu-gi-ho, like google, for example. Whith massive nuclear attacks, for example. This stuff is something that would be better not to exist on this plante, galaxy, universe or dimension. Neither in anyone. You get it?

This is horrible.

This manga could have become one of the best shounen manga's of all time if it was nothing more than a pure comedy manga.

yu-gi-oh! is written in a way that it want's people to take it seriously, but by doing that it loses the little respect we have for it. trying to take this manga seriouly is like saying pokemons are real. it just doesn't work. it started of great with the whole shadow games and when they started dueling with the whole dramatic card drawing it became nothing more than a joke and the anime did help this either.

don't get me wrong the real card games with the official rules is brilliant. and the fact that cards are so powerful that they can destroy people was the last line.
when it come's to stupid concepts this manga is up with the best of them. the art is average and the whole manga is an overrated piece of garbage, but i do recommend it if you want something bad to laugh at.
