Description

First let it be said that I'm a guy who enjoys reading seinen and shounen manga and that I have very few shoujo and josei that interest me.
This is one of the few manga that can actually cross the genre barrier. I read it from start to finish and it was quite enjoyable and refreshing.
If you're a guy who can stand reading something without echiiness and action then I recommend this to you.

I read this series back in 2005, and I haven't picked it up again until this week, because I remember hating it when I finished it. I was 12 when I first read it, and I think the subjects were too heavy for me then. Now that I'm 16, I can appreciate more. But, I now understand why I hated it.
This series is.... well, I guess it's just OK. In the beginning, I really loved it! But, the author spent too much time focusing on the side characters. I like Kazuma, Tsubasa, Takefumi, and everyone, but they didn't need 5 books about them. I also thought she spent too much time on the Soichiro arc. I know it was important, but Yukino was barely in it.

In the end, the series just left a bad taste in my mouth. I may not tell someone to read it, but if they asked me if they should read it, I wouldn't discourage them per say. The author had a really good idea, but she didn't execute it well.

Yukino getting pregnant, and everyone being okay with it is just unbelievable. I also do not like their daughter getting with Asaba. That's just sick. Same thing with Maho and Takeshi. There are too many years in between them. And, there was too much drama, Almost every character in this book had problems, not just minor ones either. I mean, if most of Japan has these problems, then I'd be worried.

There is some realism here. It should have a psychological tag here as well for the manga. Some very deep stuff. Found it difficult to read it in one go. Its really good though but there are some things i can't accept in this manga, such as Asaba going out with his friendz daughter who is like 20 years or so younger than him. Thats too gross really. Other than that, the plot is totally unique and the art is above average.
when i first read this manga (first book) i was like oh god its just like your typical shojo but i kept reading on and i got really attached to it. This manga was the most realistic manga I have ever read along with bokura ga ita. I read this in 4 days. It has a happy ending too =]
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this, I was reminded of it as I pulled it off the bookshelf to re-read it last night.

Also, the little side notes by the author are adorable. Even the author seems to be a cutie, which is funny.

The story was kind of choppy, but on the whole it had good character development. The art was good. I do wish that it had not dragged on quite as long as it did.
this is the BEST manga i have ever read. in terms of characters, art work, romance, comedy everything i thought is perfect and balanced. all the characters are lovable. specially arima and yukino. yukino has a strong intelligent personality, unlike other shoujo manga heroines who generally are naive and crybaby. also loved the ending. the character developments were really amazing. i want to give it 100 out of 10 lol
i was a bit disappointed with the anime because they ened it in the middle. it would have been great if they could finish the story. it really is a great story!

Read the first book... and hated it. The plot just did not catch my eye. The drawings were good... to a point. I also don't like how long the series is and how it ends. Lol yes I did spoil the ending for me... But the manga dragged on according to my friends and it is not a series i would recommend to someone. You've gotta have patience to read this one and a whole lot of it :/
only read the first volume i hated that she was so stupid that shed let this jerk blackmail her into doing his work, it made her seem weak and stupid. maybe it gets better, i dont know, but im not interested in getting to know anymore about such annoying characters...
this manga gives a hash look at what Japan's school life is life. it's not as bad as what really happens but it give a good look on how hard they struggle and try to make a life for themselves.
somehow I feel as they explained, there feelings they went over it too much, however that generally comes with shoujo manga
