None of these stories can be considered very complex, but the mangaka's execution with her storytelling and artwork surely was one-of-a-kind and made them all the more special. Definitely the most unique collection of short stories I've read in a long time. Some stories I enjoyed better than others, but overall they're all worth a read even if just to immerse yourself in the vivid fantasy world created from the author's lavish imagination.
As most of the reviews said, the title story and Canary are the best of the bunch. That being said, all of these stories are good in their own right, and this is a very well rounded collection. Lily Hoshino's art is not to my preference, but is demure and beautiful in its own way. Don't miss this for sure.
It's a bunch of bitter-sweet fairytales with endearing characters, beautiful art and rather happy endings. Very nice read. Usually I stay away from cute kind of yaoi, also usually the cute kind is unbearably dumb and cliche, but here we have sth really good, sometimes bitter and somehow it works out. I was pleased by all means. The art's great. Nothing to complain.
You should give it a try at least because it's really rare type of yaoi. It's nice to read something different once in a while. Enjoy!

Crossbridge indeed. It does contain extremaly feminine ukes and even hetero sex (or should I say smut? I'm just direct...) And by shoujo I mean not modern crappy idiotic romance stories but something like works of Year 24 Group. Of course this manga is a lot lot worse than those masterpieces... but you can't deny mangaka's high ambitions

I rate whole on the first story. It was the best of them all and most well thought out. The only thing I disliked was the uke being girly but I can live with it since it really was as if they put two men into a cliche shoujo so you can't really have a manly concubine...
This is extreme gender-bending shota. I seriously thought the ukes were girls, so i thought i was reading loli at first which would have been fine since the stories were really cute, but its like the author just threw in the 'oh, actually they're gay males!' for no reason. Im not against yaoi I actually like it but really, when the ukes look NOTHING like guys then there's a problem...if you like that kind of thing then i guess you'll like this.
Eee this tickled my fancy. First story was rather good, i love the how true to life the plot was - a man engrossed by his goal forgets why he made that goal to start with. Very good start. Second story had a nice psychological twist to it, but was short xD Third story is very sweet, i loved that one :3 Fourth was again very sweet, canary was a bit odd though lol, head wings... Fifth was sixth were nice but mostly just smut, i did like how it ended though ^^ Overall i liked these stories, some were deep, others were shallow, some were smutty, some were clean, nice combination.
The art is very pretty but I could have read this ENTIRE manga and thought hanabishi was a girl. He's not, but he looks like one. It was beautiful and unique, though. It was heartwrenching at times and also very heartwarming.

I'm a little put off by the fact that this seems to be under "yaoi" for the sole purpose of the audience. I honestly couldn't tell if the ukes were girls or not, if it weren't for the title and the fact that girls in manga tend to have oversized breasts. That aside, it was written beautifully and the fantastic elements in it are done very well. It's definitely worth a read.
