I liked this manga, it featured two protagonists that had a great friendship. It's not shounen-ai, because not only is that explicitly said a few times in the manga itself, the MC gets a crush on a girl in the manga.
The whole crossdressing thing is a bit 'huh?' but it pains MC to do it, and sometimes, this pain of his is actually pretty funny.
Give it a chance.

I had my reservations. Like I picked this up based on a recommendation so I had high expectations of it, but I was really worried that it wasn't going to be met when Yuri Arbatov first danced? The art was nice, but it just lacked something. It didn't really have the fluidity and grace that ballet had and I wasn't sure if Code was going to hold up to my expectations.
But it totally did, ha ha.
The way the mangaka drew Haru's dance evoked the proper emotions so well that I would get a shudder or a skip of the heart. The imagery and description that the mangaka utilized was really nice and got the job done.
I REALLY REALLY liked it. The humor, for the most part, was right up my alley and I liked the expressions that Haru had to all the shit that was happening to him. Super funny. The only disappointment was how homosexuality and transgender people were treated as super negative things? Those parts just absolutely sucked since I'm a part of the LGBT+ community and seeing that type of stuff is just "arghghghghgh."
But other than that, I really recommend it if you have an interest in ballet!

The theme is good, but several things about this manga seemed slightly off to me. I love how passionate the two main characters are about their profession -- to the point that they'll even break gender norms in order to be able to pursue it -- and I love that there were no hints of romance or BL despite there being ample opportunities for both, but the praise ends there.
First of all, this is the kind of manga which is too serious to be a comedy, but too far-fetched to be a realistic drama, and therefore fails to deliver 100% on either. A conflict pops up, and is resolved within a couple of chapters, with little to no foreshadowing as to the future consequences of said incident. The characters are not very well developed beyond the dancing aspect, which is a huge let-down because they're quite likeable. And how on earth is Haruichi and Yuri planning to continue dancing together when Haruichi has such a huge "weak point"?
My next (and bigger) complaint is about the ending: It would have been much better if the final half of the final chapter had not happened, and the two dance partners had walked away from each other having gained valuable experience and encouragement to pursue their respective futures -- perhaps with a promise to meet and compare notes on each others' progress somewhere down the line. The need for a picture-perfect happy ending caused the author to forgo a more meaningful conclusion to her characters' journey, and I believe that was a huge mistake on her part.
Perhaps if it had been twice this length, there would have been more room for improvement. As it is, I recommend Coda for a quick bit of fun and stress-relaxation, but don't expect anything too spectacular.

I waited any second some boy`s love to appear to surprisingly there was nothing. I was refreshing and at the same time a little disappointing - yep, a strange feeling. Overall I like it. It wasn`t one of kind or freakish good and it was cute nice read. I really like the art style.
whoever says it's shounen-ai is stupid

There's not even one bit of shonen-ai in here. For god's sake, Can't guys get flustered? (and it just even happened one or two times).
I love everything about this manga, I'm more in to shounen but this manga still satified me A LOT. Guess the only disappointing part is that it's too short, based on how the story ended i think this could have still been continued, i won't even mind if this gets episodic ,it's just awesome, specially the way the mangaka executes the ballet performances you'll really get engrosed in it (I even imagined hearing the background song lol).
In any case, read this. Totally recommended .

But the vibes remain. I love everything about this manga. The art pulsing with vivid movements and life, the rounded characters, even the flat ones(!), the premise, and how the story was executed. The only issue I had with it was the hanging ending... just that, but well, I can deal with it. The manga already gave me a lot I couldn't really complain.
Yuri and Haru's relationship was actually cliched (especially for a Shounen manga with Shounen-ai feels) but their interactions were something to look forward to. It was actually rare, yet memorable. The dance moves were breathtaking, my imagination craved for more. I mean, even I was going dokun while "watching" them perform.
Overall, it was a nice read, especially as a potential BL story. Even if you're not into BL, you can't still miss out on this one. Thumbs up!

I love the art and story line. I also don't care if its is not shounen ai... to me it is and for the record I ship Yuri and Haru I think that Yuri was really captivated by Haru's dancing and wanted to dance with him despite Haru being a guy! <3

I love the art. Aside from that, it's a nice non-shounen ai (sort of questionable since the mangaka does do that) gender bender. If you forcibly squint or put on your shipper goggles, that's the extent of the romance in this series, other than one other ballerina who's crazy over one of the male leads.
The pacing's okay from what's scanlated so far, and it's short and sweet for 3 volumes.
