inuyasha is long but is what first got me into manga.
fairy tail, negima, bleach, naruto, kekkaishi, shaman king are my favorites.

Dragon Ball, One Piece, Black Cat, Death Note, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Basically, in that order, those are more or less my top 5.

Those are pretty much the same as mine, but the "-Doujinshi-
Evangelion RE-Take (best doujin ever ^_^)" made me cough blood when I read that part.
lol why? the story development is lot more interesting than the original one.

Well, it could be that I dislike even the original.

My favourite ongoing manga are without a doubt
- Blood Alone by TAKANO Masayuki: Sometimes mysterious, sometimes endearing, but never a letdown, this story is the best balanced series I've come across.
- MORI Kaoru's Otoyomegatari: Masterfully portrayed slice-of-life romance set in a small village somewhere along the Silk Road.
- Gangsta. by Kosuke: Bleak, yet amusing story about a pair of handymen working in a fictional ghetto.
- MOTOMI Kyousuke's Dengeki Daisy: A fine shoujo. Almost nothing good that hasn't been said already. Read it.
There is only one completed series that can compare to them, though:
Seishun Kouryakuhon by AKIZUKI Sorata: For all those who haven't forgotten what it means to stand at the threshold to your very own life.

Chizumi and Fujiomi is my personal favorite. Still can't get enough of this manga, really. About 10 years have passed since the 1st time I read it and I still love it to bits up til this very day.
Tekken Chinmi, my favorite shounen. Legend.
Some recent manga are great but not memorable enough for me.
