I actually thought that the One Piece scene you mentioned was a lot more emotionally powerful in the anime than the manga. I didn't really feel anything from the manga, but the scene in the show definitely irritated the eyes.

I don't think you're in a position to talk --- when you finish it you'll see how heartwarming and sad the manga is. It's one of those "don't just a book by it's cover" manga, except in this case, don't judge a book by it's title.
Anyways, it made me cry a lot

Nice pun on Onani, lawl. From my perspective, Onani ending wasn't "touching", it was just... unfinished..
