Hi.

I'm making this post out of my disappointment over Yona apparently discarding her love for Soo-Won, in Akatsuki no Yona. I know, in a way, it makes perfect sense to give up on the apparent villain for the bland hero who is currently supporting her.... But I find that boring. Overdone.

I like angst, conflict, complicated characters who probably hurt each other, a complicated love that can't be thrown away, and controversial elements.
Does someone has any good rec for:
- female protagonist
- male villainous love interest or morally grey/dark grey male character, who has done bad/evil things and is actually in love with the protagonist.

I don't mind mature and/or dark themes and undertones.
Preferably shonen/seinen. And a good story.

To give you an idea, I ship, in order of preference:
Casca/Guts in Berserk
Soo-Won/Yona in Akatsuki no Yona
Makie/Kagehisa Anotsu in Blade of the Immortal
Shigure/Akito in Fruits Basket
Kisara/Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh
Sansa/the Hound in Asoiaf (not a manga)
Etc.

Thanks a lot! 🙂 🙂

Well it’s not shounen but I recommend
Ag-yeog-ui guwonja (aka The Villian’s Savior)
bc the ml is (like the name suggests) a villain and the FL tries to save him and falls in love with him.
If I think of anymore I’ll leave another comment or edit this one.
Basara is another good one where the FL falls in love with her enemy.

Toilet Bound Hanako-kun
(although I don't know if there is going to be solid 100% romance)

These are all good series of various genres with a main M/F romantic pairing guaranteed to give you an uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach:
Please Save My Earth
Raise wa Tanin ga Ii
Tendou-ke Monogatari
Kono Ai Wa, Itan.
Canon is presented more enemies-to-lovers than villainous, but the male lead did kill a bunch of innocent people
Eternal Sabbath starts great but the ending sucks
Suijin no Hanayome has male lead who isn’t evil exactly, he’s just indifferent to human morality and suffering most of the time
