Like Noblesse somewhat (an ancient vampire wakes up and goes to modern school), but it doesn't have to be a time skip. The guy can be, for example, a mage from a parallel world. The point is that he is 1) powerful in some way, preferably supernatural or magical 2) our contemporary world is unfamiliar to him, so he finds it strange or gets into funny/weird situations.
More examples of what I mean:
- the oneshot from Black City where a warrior heroine from a virtual game (she's a girl but the situation is the same) falls through the screen into the lap of a schoolboy player.
- Shinobi Life (in a way)
- the moments in InuYasha when InuYasha goes forward into Kagome's time period.
