Terrible tragedy; especially at the beginning of a manga. I just put it away. no no dead

If it's hentai, there's no helping it, but there are some pretty adorable relationship centered manga with kids in them, like Miman Renai and Chokotto Sister.

Maybe. I'll try it some time or something.. but I don't really like cute ones.
Like, really cute, almost like babies, elementary schoolers.
Hmm.. Middle school would be fine, i guess. Just NOT elementary.
Really cute manga with really cute characters pisses me off. idk why. XP
-including manga with high schoolers that look like 7 or 10-

Tragedy if it happens to the MC towards the end/at the end of the manga. I usually drop those manga the moment I realise what's going to happen. :/

Mecha. I wouldn't say I hate it, but I've found very few enjoyable, and I hesitate to even watch or read a series if it seems to be central to the story.

You should try Hoshi no Koe, it's also an anime. Mecha is a part of it, but not totally central to the meaning of the the manga and anime.

Okay, thanks! I'll give it a try!

I have tried it before. Just answer me one question, does Kaname's personality ever really change? One of the major reasons I didn't like it is that it felt like she was violent with little provocation, and that didn't sit well with me. If that changes as the story goes on, I'm more than willing to try it again.

Watashi shoujo manga dai kirai(I hate shoujo manga)

I've only read a handful of them and shun almost all because of the cliched story and art

It's true that there are many stupid shoujo with annoying main characters, But there are many good shoujo as well.

Example:
Skip Beat! Strong female lead
Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Strong female lead
Orange Marmalade (Webcomic/Webtoon)
Akatsuki no Yona I absolutely love this one, even if the description doesn't seem interesting, give it a shot. The female lead isn't stupid, only for the first chapter or something, but she grows (Mentally). (I like the art)
Love So Life Innocent, but not stupid female lead
Reimei no Arcana Strong female lead (nice art)
Oresama Teacher The female lead is pretty cool in my opinion, like her personality and strength. Great comedy, not filled with romance
Pika Ichi Strong female lead
Penguin Revolution physically strong but innocent female lead that isn't annoying or stupid
There is larger chance you'll like this if you're a girl (I guess).
Oh, and what you said about art, you'll get used to it. I actually am not used to shounen/seinen art.
But, If you actually hate the art, then I guess I can't do anything 'bout that...

So...for me...I dislike shounen ai/yaoi.
I should probably try shounen ai before yaoi since it doesn't have mature stuff...any suggestions that will help me change my mind? confused

For sweet, really light stuff, you should look at Yumeka Sumomo's shounen-ai one-shots. A warning though Boku wa Sakana is really sad. Something that's also really good is Doukyuusei, it's a sweet love between two high schoolers and the art is really interesting.

Yeah... another Mecha hate here, and I dislike too hardcore Hentai (I find them sad rather than...)

Don't recommend me to read something that is not really focused on robots, but more like around personal stories of characters or other things instead (Bokurano, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Hoshi no Koe). Ones I'm not satisfied with are something like Gundam.

I don't read Yaoi, and will never read. As long as I'm male... It's not about hating, but... you know. I'm ok with Gender Bender, and a little of Shounen-Ai (something like Prunus Girl is fine)

I read almost everything apart from these.

Hm.. has anyone mentioned harem? that's a genre i tend to stray away from ._.

Honestly, I can't deny that Harem is at top when it come to genres that are full of cliché.... but had you read TWGOK? It could be said to be harem, and the premise might be odd, I had never played a sim game and tough it was a stupid plot before reading it, but the the quite unique and main characters steals the whole thing away and makes you want to see what's he is going to pull next.

why would I want to change other people's minds on the internet.

I just point and laugh at them and move on.

and I certainly am not going to recommend something they have a high chance of hating just to avoid admitting they were wrong.

code Geass IS mecha, and don't caveat that its not.

oh, so it's common to dislike mecha. not that i hate mecha, i have not found any intresting manga with mecha in it. but GC was my no.1 favorite anime, so i guess it's not mecha's fault.

Not a specific genre, but I usually hate mangas in which all protagonists are kids! they are immature and the decisions they take (which changes manga's fate), are mostly childish. so I tell myself "how boring! this wouldn't happen if they'd choose not to do that!"
for the same reason I hate "school life".

I also hate "slice of life" 'cause I've found them boring. can anyone change my mind?
(the BIG problem is my taste kills me! every time I finish a manga, finding a new one becomes my worst nightmare! lol)
