Ok, I know there are many Harems and non-shoujos where the guy is ok looking and the girl is often cute. I would like to read a shoujo NON HAREM manga where the guy is either normal looking and violent (or looks good) and the girl is notably beautiful, not tom boyish and has long hair. I would like something like Love Junky or even Junai Tokkou Taichou- as long as the guy is not the typical bishie or the girl is famed to be beautiful or both as in Cynical Orange

I do want shoujo style drawings and no love triangles of 2 women, 2 men can do but without love triangles is okay, some of my examples are:-

Peach Girl
Shiritsu! Bijinzaka Joshi Koukou
Dice
Devil and her love song
Binetsu Shoujo- I dont like Kaho Miyasaka's works except for her art

I think Monkey High fits what you're looking for. The main girl character is considered very pretty, cool and composed and the main guy character is sort of average, and gets teased for looking like a baby monkey. There's only one chapter out on the internet, but if you end up liking it, you can always read it in a bookstore like Borders since it's been licensed.

Ummmm. First thing I thought of was Saruyama!/Monkey High!, which is exactly what you described, but it looks like you already have that on your reading list. And the person before me mentioned it too (however, if anyone else is interested in the beautiful-girl-normal-guy theme, this one's great!). Then I thought of HANADA but you're reading that too. Haha.

What about I Hate You More than Anyone? Maki's handsome but he's also kinda a goofball, and Kazuha is pretty... though she does have short hair. That one's licensed, so you'd have to buy it or find it at a library. But I really love the series a lot so I definitely recommend it!! V.B.Rose by the same mangaka also has a very pretty, long-haired main character.

Oyayubihime Infinity is also really interesting. (another one you'd have to buy/borrow). The main guy is popular with girls, but again he's the silly, fun type rather than cool and distant. And Kanoko's a pretty girl with glasses!! Hooray! I love this series a lot too!

Trying to think of series that are being scanlated.... M to N no Shouzou has a gorgeous upper-class girl protagonist. Honey and Clover's main girl is pretty adorable (though somewhat childlike). Cat Street's main girl is pretty, but the series is kinda drama-ful and love-triangle-y. It's interesting though, and the art's lovely! Aishiteruze Baby could fit what you're looking for too—it's told from the guy's perspective, which is also an interesting difference from most shoujo manga. Oh, maybe you'd like Hayabusa (ROPPONGI Aya) too—another from the guy's POV. Hope these suggestions help!

I have checked out almost all of the series mentioned except Cat Street, I hate you more than anyone and VB Rose. I will check Cat Street out. Oyayubihime was one I was keeping on hold since I dislike Shounen ai and Yaoi but I guess I will check the m out. Thanks for the info!!

Glad I could be of assistance! Oyayubihime isn't really shounen-ai-ish at all. I mean, maybe very mild hints of it with a couple characters. But I don't care for shounen ai/yaoi either and I absolutely loved the series, so don't be afraid to try it!

Thanks! I am still hopeful..I have noticed at least a few of the new projects being scanlated are gradually turning towards the direction I like...some the shoujo heroines are beautiful and confident gals, just the way I like it!
