I'm looking for something like the scene in Mahoraba where Sayoko was pressured by her parents to remarry but she refused because she wanted to stay faithful to her dead husband. I really liked that.

So basically I'm looking for characters who have a dead spouse/lover but don't want to go into another relationship and stay dedicated to their dead partner. They don't have to be main characters, minor characters are fine too as long as they have some impact on the story. No Yaoi, Yuri, Smut, Hentai please, aside from that anything goes.

Thanks!

Hui You Tian Shi Ti Wo Ai Ni (Novel)
I loved this novel, there is also a manga for it, but it hasn't been translated An Angel Will Love You for Me You should definitely check it out even though there hasn't been any new releases. I just love it!

Hmm thank you, but judging from the manga description basically the girl's boyfriend is dead and now she falls in love with this other guy who got the heart of her boyfriend? Well, this is exactly what I'm not looking for then. I don't want them to fall in love with someone else.

Secondary female lead in Yesterday o Utatte has this, but she struggles with moving on. However, chances are good that she may move forward, but manga is still ongoing.

In Hajimari no Niina it's been 10 years since Chitose's death and when the MC confesses to Atsurou (who was Chitose's boyfriend), he bowed down and said "I'm sorry. I have a person who I've been loving all these ten years." (one of my favourite scenes, actually) Of course, there's also the twist that Niina (the mc) is Chitose's reincarnation, and has all of the memories of her past life intact.

I should warn you, though. Have a pack of tissues next to you, because you're going to need them.

Take a look at My Girl (SAHARA Mizu). The male lead still holds on to his lover after they broke up 5 years ago and even after she dies leaving him with a 5-year-old daughter. Throughout the series you can feel his bittersweet, unwavering dedication to her. He refuses to to give in to his mother's and "mother-in-law's" demands who would like to see him with a new girlfriend.
Though eventually, he tries to move on for the sake of his daughter. If he is successful or stays forever single is something you have to see for yourself.

Thanks everyone, any more would be greatly appreciated!

And please remember I'm only looking for characters who stay dedicated to their lover until the end, not ones who change their view in the series.

Aoi - Kinda, ghost comes to haunt people because he is dedicated to lover after death hah

King of Hell - You will see a girl stays by his dead body for hundreds of years, she can do so because the body is in a kinda magical pool of water and if she goes away from it she dies/gets old. This isn't really about romance but there is that dedication to dead lover

Maybe this one would catch your interest:
Fugitto Amor - http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=104123

Please Save My Earth - http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=1245
This one applies in a sense since one of the main character's past self (Shion) remained loyal to his love (Mokuren) after she died and even after his death. The same applies to some of the other characters but they move on unlike the two main character's past selves. You'd kind of have to read the entire story to understand though.

Mucha Kucha Daisuki - http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=1477
He remains loyal.
