Adventure/Fantasy + Romance

I'm not fond of the typical high school romance, but I love it when the romance ends up being an adventure. I know of Fushigi Yuugi and Celestial Legend... I'm also reading Ryo and Immortal Rain. I was wondering if there are any other mangas of similar genre. I would really appreciate if you could suggest some.

I'm really into fantasy and supernatural as well as action and adventure so I can list some which have also had some romance in.
Vampire Knight - Obvious really but still has a school setting.
Akuma no Ororon - More supernatural than fantasy but a great love story.
Angel Sanctuary - Lots of romance, great plot, fantasy/supernatural setting, lots of action
Rurouni Kenshin - Lots of action, Historical setting, Romance but no fantasy.
Inuyasha - Fantasy/hostorical setting, Romance, Action
Apothecarius Argentum - Historical setting with some supernatural, Romance
Chronicles of the Cursed Sword - Fantasy, Romance, Adventure. Great plot
Ayashi no Ceres - Fantasy/Supernatural, Romance but not a lot of adventure.
Hope this helps. My personal favourites are VK, Akuma no Ororon and Angel Sanctuary.

^I don't mind Fantasy/Supernatural either. Nonetheless, thanks for the suggestions. Some of them are really old and the art is funny, but I think I'll give them a go anyway. [:
Are there more with a male protagonist with long hair? I know some of the ones suggested above do.

I second Sengoku Strays, although it's not fantasy, it's historical, set in one of the era's...

Saver seems to be what you're looking for.
Hatenkou Yuugi
Akuma to Dolce has a little school life, but not too much.
Fantasy and adventures are there...
Masca
Koori no Mamono no Monogatari and silver diamond if you don't mind very light shounen-ai.
Romeo x Juliet.
Kon no Ki Konoha a very nice fantasy oneshot.
You can check yumeka sumomo's other manga for fantasy romaces.
Hoshi no Koe kind of, too (same mangaka).
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.

Male protagonists with long hair? That's a new one, though I prefer male protagonists myself personally so I've managed to come up with these. They all have great male protagonists but I'm not so sure about the long hair.
07 Ghost - Teito's hair is kinda long.
Zero - Just a great male protagonist really
Vampire Juujikai - Ditto above but it's a bit out there in terms of plot.
Shounen Mahoushi - Only read the first volume so far but a coll male lead.
X - Amazing manga, only thing is it's been on hiatus for ages now.
Count Cain - Great male lead with longish hair and good plot.
I also second Number and of the one's I listed before Apethecarius Argentum, Chronicles of the cursed sword, Rurouni Kenshin, Angel Sanctuary and Inuyasha all have male protagonists with long hair.
