I want a series with a protag like Light from Death Note or Lelouch from Code Geass. It could be a guy or girl, and they should have more brains then brawns. No yaoi or yuri, romance is okay, but I don't want it to be like some shoujo dreamy, unrealistic, shiny, fluffy nonsence, that being said it doesn't need to be a tradgiedy. Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro is another good example of the type of manga I am looking for. Please help XD

Vampire Juujikai is what your looking for.
Don't worry about the shoujo style art, its no shoujo manga.

Ratman fits pretty well. (and its awesome)

Akame ga Kiru! is exactly what you want.

Ubel Blatt is too actually, more so than Akame ga Kiru!

Though I highly suggest all four, Vampire Juujikai is a masterpiece.
