I everyone, I'm new here and I wish that whoever's on here would help me find new manga that I'm interested in reading.

I'm looking for manga (or anime too) that relates with yokai, Shinto, or historical events/ settings, myths (preferably supernatural). Or anything that are similar to Akatsuki no Yona, Fukigen na Mononokean, Noragami, and Kamisama Hajimemashita.

You might want to search for mangas with the Yokai http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?category=Youkai or Historical tags http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?perpage=50&genre=Historical&orderby=rating.

Some series I think you might be interested in involving youkai are Natsume Yuujinchou, xxxHoLic, Hoozuki no Reitetsu, Nurarihyon no Mago, and Ran to Haiiro no Sekai. I would also recommend for you to try out the works by SHINOHARA Chie, in particular Anatolia Story and Ao no Fuuin.

Historical mangas which might suit your taste are Chang Ge Xing, Otoyomegatari, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Miriam and Saiunkoku Monogatari.

If you don't mind fantasy elements, there are also Ciel - The Last Autumn Story, Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami and Okobore Hime to Entaku no Kishi, which I believe you will like as the female leads are relatively similar to the one in Akatsuki no Yona.

Hope this helps! 😀

Mushishi
Bouzu to Kumo (Yaoi)
Akai Sato no Tengu

Yokai with modern settings
Mokke
Jappa no Amane (Yaoi)
Tokimeki Mononoke Jogakkou (Yuri- monster school style)
Love Monster (monster school style)
Binbougami Irimasen ka? (God of poverty, good for people who liked Kamisama Hajimemashita)
Rosario to Vampire (monster school style)
Zense to Gense to Kimi to Ore (try the second story)
Black Bird- the Yaoi Hyper Love Power is similar I think

Shinto

Youkai
Youkai Apato no Yuuga na Nichijou
Hyakki Yakoushou
Kesshou Monogatari
Neko Musume Michikusa Nikki
Ooedo Youkai Kawaraban
Otome Youkai Zakuro
Tactics
Sasabunechou Konjaku

Shinto
Yakumo Tatsu
Ankoku Shinwa
Tajikarao
Ghost Hunt
Kaikisen
Kamunabi -- Though you might have to read the main series - Munakata Kyouju Denkikou and its sequel - to understand this.

A previous comment mentioned Mushishi, but while it certainly is a historical fantasy setting, it does not feature youkai. The mushi are nothing like youkai, they're an entirely different type of creature: more like parasites with supernatural features.
