Happy Thanksgiving you guys...
So...I am looking for some good action manga with a heavy romance in it.
I am talking about not just a typical romance subplot...also I would like the manga to be quite long and...I don't like historical type mangas. Thanks for your time and answers in advance.

do you know Shakugan no Shana anime? I didn't read the manga but it should be similar.

Shinobi Life is very good.
I don't know if it counts as action, but I've enjoyed Kamisama Hajimemashita.
Kanata Kara is old and the art is a bit bad at first, but it's a very nice story.
Absolute Witch is another that you could call action in a certain sense.
Those are the only ones I can think of that have quite a few chapters out already, but I hope it helps!
Oh, I see you don't like historical manga and these are mostly fantasy, with a touch of traditional Japanese... Witchcraft Works might be up your alley, Sankarea, W Change and Let's Lagoon might work but they either aren't all that long or don't have that many chapters out.

Aside from possibly Witchcraft Works, most of these aren't really action manga.
