Love it

This manga has become my stress-buster. It's so cute and sweet and totally adorable. The guy was almost raised as girl, so he is into a lot of so called "feminine stuff", like baking, sewing and wouldn't even mind dressing up as a girl. And guess what? He's completely at ease with his gender fluidity and doesn't care if he gets branded as "gay" or something because he isn't an insecure male who needs to reaffirm his manliness constantly by doing "manly" stuff- basically, driving a girl into a corner or asserting his physical dominance over her or forcing a kiss upon her. He respects the girl's space and doesn't make a move on her unless he knows she shares his feelings. THIS IS WHAT A GUY SHOULD IDEALLY BE LIKE. He isn't a primitive neanderthal alpha male you see, because the girl is fully capable of protecting herself. (I LOL'ed at the comment below mine, the commenter called him a masochist for this trait. Sigh, typical thought process of one who has internalised patriarchy).
This is a role-reversal manga sure, but what this manga does is challenge our thought process regarding what society considers appropriate gender roles. And this manga does it perfectly. The girl is ofc, a bit thick headed when it comes to her own feelings, but I am perfectly okay when the slow pace of development of their relationship because there is plenty of humour and character exploration. Did I mention the girl is a bad-ass? She is “manlier” than any of the guys in the manga and the guy is more “feminine” than any of the girls in the manga, because these are just socially dictated and obsolete concepts. ~Love it.

I love this manga more with each chapter. The characters are great. The role reversal is light-hearted and fun (instead of deep and psychological) and the love triangle is just hilarious.

I can't say there are many manga where I can enjoy such. But it's not just simply used for comedy, the author makes it very clear what type of relationship the characters have. It's a short fun read.

...that I'm already day dreaming about the male lead getting screwed, and getting screwed hard. Be it by another guy or by the female lead. (Pegging ftw!!! hahaha)

Sorry, wrong genre. But still. The first chapter totally hooked me in. I'm glad that the Female Lead is strong, but isn't cold. I love the Male Lead (Fuji), and the light-heartedness of where the story is going.

The art is good, and their relationship development is beautiful to watch. The role reversal is both hilarious and quite spot on without ever going over the line. I was expecting to get tired of the role reversal but ended up smiling all the times it came up.

The Female Lead is amazingly cool and competent, and that part of her personality meshes well and doesn't overshadow her being a girl. The Male Lead is unabashedly feminine in action and mannerisms, but he's the type of guy I would marry the hell out of. He's pretty shameless in using his reputation to fight back or get out of certain situations in his own way.

Being competent and able to protect yourself doesn't mean you don't have to be protected or cherished. It doesn't diminish your strength when you find yourself in a situation where you have to rely on others. It's a lesson the female lead eventually learns, without any condescension or patronisation from any party involved.

An unusual love triangle (unusual for shoujo anyway) happens. It's an actual triangle, which had me giggling to myself like a crazy person. As much as I would love Mei and Fuji to be together, a part of me is rooting for a threesome ending (despite how improbable that is).

Fuji is persistent and determined to be Mei's boyfriend. Nanao is also persistent and determined, but his attentions however are focused on Fuji, despite professing Mei as his 'beloved'. This is one shoujo love triangle I can get behind. (I hate the usual love triangles seen in shoujo, with two guys fighting over The Girl, but I'd make an exception for this one)

There is no Yaoi tag (dammit), but I can still totally see all three's relationship developing. With a Fuji sandwich maybe? *evil grin*

It's a cute series, and a nice diversion from "typical" shoujo manga. It's not too long, which works out in its favor. The only real complaint I had with this series was how long it took the MC to confess, but that is typical of its genre. I also really enjoyed the humor.

Overall it is a nice read, and I recommend it to any shoujo lover. ^^

Personally, this is the best manga ever. There is not one thing that I dislike about this manga. Perfect as perfection can be.
I love how it makes my heart flutter from beginning to end. Every moment reading this is GOLD. I have waited so long to read the ending too, although it is heart-breaking that it ended, it worth every moment.
Seriously, I'm not so into the girly guy-manly girl kind of manga but I still love the story. Everything is well balanced, no irritation, full of comedies and on the whole, very warm and sweet.

I like it. It drags on a bit, but it only creates more comic moments. I hope it doesn't overdo it too much though.
I really like it and enjoy it so far. Shirou is very cute as well. I hope we can see him cry more.

My Guilty Pleasure

I can't believe how much I love this manga; it's definitely my guilty pleasure.

I love the male lead. I love the female lead. I even love the senpai "love interest" and his siblings.
It's definitely been a long time since I fell in love with a shoujo manga so this is a real treat.

While I'm worried it might stretch on for too long (and become one of those unbearably long series), I don't want it to end.

Another shoujo I can add to the list I really like (and this list can be counted with one hand).

Even if the male lead is really girly (with his growing environment is reasonable), you can see that he still acts like a man when it matters. Brilliant, dont be discouraged with the synopsis or the categories, it is quite a worthwhile and hilarious read. Actually, the girly mannerisms makes the manga funnier xD.

Would probably work better as a 4-koma

There's no progress.

Character wise, we have a base that the male lead likes girl things... that is it. After revealing his feelings it kinda goes into an eternity of the female lead sorting her feelings and possible issues. The author relies too heavily on the humor of a shameless effeminate guy and a sports centered girl. Opposites attract or showing effort attracts right? Characters and relationship is just too 2 dimensional.

If you are looking for something light hearted - more comedic (basically should be a 4 koma) this is more for you, but if you are coming in for a shoujo rom-com this will disappoint.
