In 2999, all people of the world had forgotten the existence of God. A seventeen year old girl in high school, Kisaki Aragaki, has been close to the Church’s Sister as a mother. One day Kisaki saw the Church being dismantled by workers and she encountered an Oni (Japanese demon) out of a worker’s body. Her father, Kenzo confessed that Kisaki is a reincarnation of her ancestress who fought against Oni with a Japanese saber called Katana of Oni. Then Kisaki took the inheritance of Katana of Oni and faced down the Oni.

i didn't like it.
it was so rushed and really confusing.everyone was just dying all the time and i didn't like the flow.
i think the mangaka should have given time to each little scene because this came out horrible.

Yes - it started as a really promising manga - and I thought it had great potential. The plot reminded me a bit of Blood+ and another manga I cannot recall the name of - but with a bit of individuality too. The art was quite a bit above average and it had a hint of a romance that would keep most females tuned.
But.
What the heck happened? This story CANNOT be told in two volumes. It's completely loony. It felt so rushed, that I had to check from several sources that it was to end after volume two. I'm greatly disappointed. I wanted to rate it 8 or 9, but now I'm giving it 3 points. Boohoo.

I read this whole thing hoping for some romance or something between her and that Takao guy... only to get to the most pointless, vague, confusing ending ever!!! Urgh. Otherwise though... main girl was really cool and strong, and the drawings were all pretty. More fluff was all I wanted. -sniff-
I didn´t really like it...it was way too rushed and if I knew that it would end like that...it was like story is going going going and then someone says "stop!" The End.

it's like, nothing is explained properly; everything is given an explanation out of nowhere.
the action scenes are also difficult to follow at times.
but the concept its not bad, the and art is wonderful.

all i can say is no matter the reason the end should have been better. all of that stuff was so uncalled for. no mater how good something is in the beginning or middle its the end that truly keeps the reader happy. sorry but that was a piss poor ending.
just horrible storyline i was hoping for more plus it looked like that there was going to be romance between Kisaki and that guy who buy's her the caramel coffee and whatever he did at the end i didn't get wat happened to him.
and the girl that liked Kisaki's brother wat was she looked like a android or something this was rushed, confusing, and just crappy horrible!
didn't expect that Youko Maki to get this bad at her stories i mean she had so many good works but this was nothing compared to those.

A rather bad way to rush a story that could have been good. There are other stories that have the same basic storyline and premise that pulls it together much better. It mite have been better if they just left it after chapter 5 and never finished. That was a better stopping point then the end was.
The end accepting your fate and dying just as if it was the most normal thing in the world. I find it is not only totally unsatisfying but it is confusing as well. The beginning was pretty good and then it just went downhill, making a pretty good start into a very bad manga. The only thing that made it worth anything was the good art.

from what i heard the author had another ending in mind and im pretty sure she wouldve wanted it longer as well, but for some reason it had to ber dropped so she ended it in a rushed way. But overall i like the story isnt very cliche and the main girl isnt the usual cute dumb ones, she has cute, serious, and she's not oblivious to things that are going on. I wouldve seriously like it more if it was continued and wasnt rushed.

It's a very good manga. Recommended to all those who likes a bit of girl power.
