As the title says, the beginning was awesome, I got the chance to know a lot about every character and know more things about Mitty and haru's feelings but sadly near the end I think time was skipped to fast, the ending wasent bad at all but I expected a bit more, but still not that I was unsatisfied

I started reading this years ago but stopped at about volume five. When the anime came out I didn't really remember it, so I watched it and enjoyed it for the most part. I felt some story things were lacking and wanted to see how/if they resolved, so I started reading the manga again right afterwards - and while I did enjoy it, I definitely didn't leave satisfied.

The art is good (this is a small thing, but I appreciate that the characters occasionally change hairstyles and are still recognizable), and the premise of 'straightforward and serious girl attracts wild and emotional boy' was fun; the story flips the cliche confession trope right off, which was interesting, and kept doing it as well (frankly, I think the third time was pushing it, but I can appreciate the the manga both trying to do something different and also keep the 'pining' aspect that is so crucial to most shoujo). I liked the characters a lot, and I really loved how friendships worked and grew throughout the series. It actually reminded me a lot of Kimi no Todoke in a way, where many of them needed to learn how to make friends and grow as people while still being true to themselves. The secondary characters are really what kept me reading by the end, and I would have loved more side stories and backstories with them. I would have appreciated some other romantic relationships as well, especially since, like I said, I ended up being fond of basically every character and several of them spent...years? in one-sided loves that clearly weren't going anywhere, which was a bummer.

It's the lack of resolution in this story that really bothers me. We spend a lot of time building up Haru's family drama and his relationship with his brother, and ultimately that is never wrapped up or hashed out. We also never meet an important member of Shizuku's family, which again, felt like it was something the story was leading to only to just...stop? And the whole ending felt very weird and rushed to me. I know it's typical to do a time-skip and for the third year to be more rushed (or skipped completely), but this really felt like it came out of nowhere. I don't know if the mangaka didn't know where to go with the story or just wanted to be done with it, but everything felt so thrown together and, having lost the ability to root for our main couple, I almost just decided to not finish the last few chapters.

tl;dr: With an interesting premise for shoujo and a good protagonist, this had the roots of a really good story, but everything needed to be flushed out more to make it really worthwhile. While this was enjoyable for one read, I wouldn't go through it again.

Ahh I love this manga..finally a manga where it's not just the boy always chasing the girl! I wish there was more to the end but either way I laughed alot and this manga made me so happy. The whole story was super cute and enjoyable super glad I came across it!! ♡♡♡

I completed this in April it is now October and I cannot remember a single thing about it, I flipped through it again to make sure that I actually read it, I recognized that I have indeed read this a long with many other shoujo manga at the time, the story is similar to many other modern shoujo manga that it gets blurred (minus the ending...which is rarely shown in modern shoujo manga...or at least the ones I have read.) it gets blurred so much that it hardly stands out from other manga.

It's incredibly relatable. I kept forgetting they were supposed to be 16 and 17 b/c they thought about real issues that I do as a 20 y/o. It's not always so serious though, which I appreciated and the comedic timing was very well done.
The art is lovely - not too simple, but not too busy.
If anything I wish there was a little more emphasis on the Mitty and Haru's relationship since there were only a few moments where they seemed like a real romantic couple (as opposed to close friends). However, that's just me and doesn't make this manga any less wonderful. I really enjoyed their relationship and the focus on their group of friends. I also thought that the individual family problems of Mitty and Haru had an implied resolution, which I felt was the most realistic conclusion. In the end, there was less distance between the family members and it was evident they loved and cared for each other. However, such serious issues are never simply, nor fully resolved, and I thought the mangaka did a good job portraying that while focusing on the plot.
I throughly enjoyed this and hope the mangaka keeps up the good work.

I'm completely attached to it it tackles everything about a highschool student's life. But i hope the author give more information about Haru and Shizuku's Family, if i remember correctly shizuku's mom was there in yuuzan's birthday(if she is that). Well all in all i really love this story that when it came to end i suddenly became nostalgic on how they first met and all the obstacles they've gone through, i feel like a mother watching her children grow up amd maturing. I'm a little bit shocked at shizuku's personality, it suddenly booms and i miss Haru's glaring too lol. Love them.

The series does not feature the typical dramatic, emotional roller-coaster of girls' manga, being a bit more down to earth with a heavy emphasis on humor.

Almost everything in this series is endearing, but while the main couple's relationship is carried through and resolved neatly, every other character is practically overlooked, which is a real shame because there quite a few interesting ones. While there is a good amount of development in the frame of their high school lives, the characters are not explored in much detail. In the end we learn very little of their lives, especially bothersome in the case of the main characters, because it makes their relationship a bit boring otherwise. I feel like the series had ended too soon, as it had a lot to offer, but skipped forward to a rushed conclusion.

in every shoujo I read, I look for something like kare-kano's character development. This one started good and ended good but in the end the mangaka didn't bother to solve the characters' family problems. I would like to see where did haru's relationship go with his family, or shizuku's relationship with her mother. Her mother's chara especially looked very interesting, I wanted to read more about her.

I think it is a shame. I'm not sure maybe the highschool zone is safe, so authors don't want to leave there and explore their characters in different environments? Maybe it's editors' fault?

It was a good shoujo though however it could have been better.

I really loved this story as it just felt so beautiful how each and every character grew and even the "anti-protagonists" were likeable. Seeing the bonds between characters become stronger and form was something I loved. You really felt as if everyone has changed and matured but they were still in character. It was a great read. I think my favourite part about the series was the charactersand seeing them interact with each other, including the side characters. I'm not all too sure about the plot as it was a bit abrupt, cliché and too back and forth for me at times but just the characters is worth reading for. The art is also very pretty and gosh, all the guys look hot~ The girls are also drawn in a very pretty way. I feel as if the author only expected a high school romance when she started this, and so did the readers but in the end it just grew to be so much more. Something in particular that I liked was the relationship between Haru and Yuuzan, they act like they hate each other but then in the end you realise that they both want the best for each other and it's such a shame that their relationship turned down such a horrid path but in the end they're both trying their best to make up for it. Just overall, I felt like the story was beautiful and great.

Whoever reads the story interprets the story and that interpretation will always be colored by the stories they have previously read.
For me I liked reading this story. It added a comedic element to a genre that I feel is heavily based in drama.
I don't typically like reading shoujo romance because quite frankly they are all generically the same. Romance / Rivals / Rejections / Graduation; for most this is pretty much the archetype for this type of school life/romance. Possibly because I have read a decent amount of shoujo with these themes it felt as if I was re-reading rather then reading for a first time.
It was still enjoyable however I felt that reading about the side character's romance are more enjoyable simply because you don't know for sure if they are going to be together. As with main characters it's all but certain in the end that they are going to be together. Although I will admit that there are still some story lines that will deviate from that.
